Hi this is a former employee, name is Yvette Rusley, i have a complaint about my work experience at Luby’s in Plano , Tx , i am reporting an incident that happened at that location on Dec. 5, 2022 at 6:00pm , i Yvette Rusley, was at work at this time when one of the employees approached me about an incident that she alegelly said i did, that was some gravy had splashed on her as we both were working on the line, an i had no idear, this had happened until she told me , i said i was sorry, but she told the manager that was on duty at that time , that i did it on purpose an it was an accident. So after that the manager, which his name is Manning, he called me aside an asked me about it an i told him , i didnt know that had happened an it was an accident, after that , he told me to go back to work, an the next thing i know this girl , her name is Shaniya, she came up behind me while i was serving the customers an yelled at me an said “the next time you do somthing to me i will fight you or put my hands on you , so i didnt turn around i just kept on working an serving the customers, while i was still doing that , she had her mother come up there an harrass me , yelling at me an cursing me while the manager just stood there an let that happen in the front of a lot of customers, that was a hostal work inviroment, i coulnt do my work so i left, i went back up there the next day, to see what was done about the situation , nothing was done, the girl an her mother an brother was up there harrassing me , she was not told to leave an come back at another time or nothing , they just let that happen.So iam no longer emplolyed there because i made the decision to leave, i felt my life was being threatened !

i will explain my whole experience from start to finish as i was so disappointed, I was not treated with ANY respect, all of the staff was very rude, foul language was spoke in front of my children and the manager didn’t care, nor would she give me her name.
there was NO ONE in line when i got there, not one single person. The woman standing on the food line, whose name is Shanelle, Which I didn’t find out until i got to my table and my FANTASTIC waitress Maria finally told me.
I ordered a salad and ranch dressing which was given to me, I had my kiddos pick their jello because I was ordering kids meals for my kids-Ages 2.5 and 6. I then proceeded down the line to order my meal, which i ordered a Lu Ann Chicken fried steak, Shanelle said “oh, we don’t have any, lemme check” and then yelled into the back of the kitchen “Portia, where yo faggot ass at nigga?” IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN, IN A PUBLIC ESTABLISHMENT where she should be professional!!!!! I was in the food industry for SEVEN YEARS!!! That is absolutely unacceptable. Isabel (i think thats what her name tag said-she was the only one with a name tag on) then proceeded to get my sides for my meal and my childrens meals, i received a phone call during this time from my boss regarding patient care, isabel still continued getting my sides and Shanell returned with the chicken fried steak (which was barely luke warm when i got to the table), I then asked her her name and told her that her language was inappropriate, she turned around and ignored me the first time i asked her her name, so i asked again. She turned around and said “who me?” and i said “yes, what is your name” and she then said “i don’t know but my manager is right there if you wanna talk to her”, i then asked the manager what the employees name was and she told me she couldn’t tell me, so i asked the manager what her name was and she also told me she wasn’t able to tell me, so then i asked her what her bosses name was and she said she couldn’t tell me but if there was an issue to let her no, to which i responded “I am not going to tell you what the issue is when it’s clear that she (shanell) is your home girl and you can’t even give me either one of your names, I worked in the food industry for 7 years and this is the wildest thing ive ever experienced”
So then i asked Isabell what her name was (referring to shanell) and Isabell seemed very scared to tell me her name and was looking over her shoulder with fear in her eyes, which was so sad.
So then I proceed to the cashier, asked him what her name was and he said that he wasn’t able to give me her name but if there was an issue that he could let the manager know. By this point i was ready to lose it. i HAVE NEVER IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE been to a place of business where when i asked someone an employee’s name, that not a single person would give it to me. What is really going on?!? Cashier’s name was obtained from my receipt-Naushad.
My kids and I get to our table, Maria carried both of my trays to the table while i was paying and i had my daughter and my son in a highchair. She introduced herself, asked if we needed anything, brought extra napkins without me asking, and then proceeded to tell me Shanells name, the managers name, Portia and the owners name, Roman. She was a phenomenal waitress, brought to go boxes, to go drinks, bags and everything. I was so thankful that i had cash in the car because i came back in after we left and brought her $20 for her kindness and help.
Mind you, all of this was witnessed by a gentlemen sitting by himself and as soon as I sat down he said “I support you and agree with you”
This place should be ASHAMED of your employees for this type of behavior!!!! I have been coming here since i was a child with my grandmother!! I always looked forward to lubys with my grandma as a child because everyone was always so nice and pleasant! This was the first time I brought my children here and MY SIX YEAR OLD DAUGHTER even told me before I said anything that they should be fired for acting and talking like that. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!
On April 5th at 445pm me, my mother, and sister decided to come to Lubys to have lunch after my mother just had a tough and somewhat sad doctor’s appointment. We chose to come here to eat and maybe cheer her up.
I admit we were a little slow in ordering because my mother is on oxygen and severe shortness of breath. We approached the line, mind you no one was behind us so we decided to take our time and look. We were indecisive so when a young man approached us we told him to go ahead. Prior to this there was a lady named Karen in the service line rolled her eyes and I heard her say to another worker “you standing there telling him to go ahead of you but you are holding up the line”.
I proceeded to let her know she was very disrespectful to me and my family. She stated in a non caring rude manner “there goes theanager there report if you want”. I have bever been so disrespected and talked down upon before in my life. Not to mention my mother. I am not happy and extremely upset with the service from Karen. The location of this horrible service was Lubys on 1727 old Spanish trail. Houston. TX
To whom it concern I ate many time at Libya but today I went to eat there on inside and I could not eat nest flying everywhere I have kill some of them but I could not eat so I ask for manager he say mama I sorry but we spray and I got call again and walk off

I had the opportunity to do a pick up order at your 7933 Veterans Memorial Houston Lubys restaurant…
I must admit for the first time I’ve experienced a horrible delivery of meal from that particular Lubys…The chicken fried chicken was not seasoned it was cold,soft crust, the green beans were not seasoned ..I was not pleased at all with the meal I ordered …and a fly was flying around the food
Out of two meals neither one completed my satisfaction…The date of purchase was 4/28/2021…ticket number 263905…Tran Ref. #22940777…order #182…Please advise the cooks that an urgent delivery of quality seasoned food should be adjusted…A dissatisfied customer for the first time.
