Does Sky Chefs have a Department called Roll ups. I’ve worked at Sky Chefs , Philadelphia for going on 8 years.
During my time here I’ve know the roll up of cutlery in linen as an extension of the Dishroom section. Recently to factor the Muslim population here , it appears that a Roll Up Department was created under the umbrella of Assembly and has been done in a way to favor Muslims only and to have no other employee work in that area for overtime hours. They done it in such a way that the leaders of our Unite Here Union has worked along with the management here to make sure that it’s only those if the Muslim faith that get to have unrestricted overtime hours . Please make me to understand how this happened . The Muslims are allowed to pray whenever they want and wash up in the restroom using the cups we use to drink from as means to wash up before they pray. Is this a religious based company or an anti- Christian establishment ?
I’m very disappointed as a previous employee that has been been terminated due to HACCP demonstrations and discarding of outdated meat that was outdated. According to LSG handbook it directed me to discard outdated items according to the law.
