  • Nancy O’Hara says:

I have had the worst experience at the LensCrafters in Tucson. The Optometrists there are useless. I had 3 different eye exams because they couldn’t get it right. There are 2 there. They redid the glasses 3 times and I went there 6 times. 3 for exams and 3 for pickup. Now I have a pair of glasses which I paid $625 for and can’t wear. I have contacted customer service a few times and getting no where. This last time the first person, Michelle, actually hung up on me. I called a second time and was told the “Regional Manager” was looking into it. This company has literally “gone to the dogs”.
The best part is you can’t get a name and phone number from customer service for corporate and you have to try yourself on google.

  • KC says:

Wow, I should have read these reviews prior to going to my local Lenscrafters where I have gone for years now. I now, can say, I have had a terrible experience and had to return 2 of the 5 pairs of glasses I recently purchased due to the inaccuracy of the people employed at the So Cal store I go to.
I was offered $50 credit for paying over $1000+ on 5 pairs.
    How offensive is that?

I will not be returning to Lenscrafters for future eye exams or glasses.

  • Alicia says:

Extremely Dissatisfied customer even though I had visited lens crafters in the past my recent experience at the menifee location was by far the worst experience a customer can have . After an eye exam I was given a hard time just to try to get a copy of a prescription that I payed for !!!! After multiple attempts of contacting their office not only did I get the run around by also was greeted by very rude who made appropriate comments including the manager Dominique . Very unprofessional and rude staff that has no business being in this line of work if they are not able to deliver a service they are paid to do. Never again will I shop or consider this business for future eye needs.

  • Pamela Humphrey says:

So, I desperately needed my glasses prescription changed as my glass lenses were a mess. My backups were an older prescription. LensCrafters in Boston has a lab and I was able to get them the next day. It was a godsend. I learned that LensCrafters are closing their labs. Are they out of their minds??? The biggest demographic is getting older and are those who wear glasses. To have to wait for 2 weeks to get glasses repaired or changed is beyond non customer focused.
    Don’t do it. 😡

  • Teanna says:

I have been going to LenCrafters for years and this experience I had has been by far the worst! I paid almost $400 after insurance for my prescription glasses to have then given to me with a defective lens and was told well you can pay more money and we can get you other lenses. I left my glasses with the location which Zach the employee there was to be taken care of them just to get them back the same way with the right lens completely messed up and the left one being fine. I even was offering to have them run my prescription through my new insurance and it seemed to be an issue for Zach and he just kept saying well what are we doing here! I explained to him how I was unsure of why I had to pay even more money when they gave me the defective lens in the first place. I ask him what would be corporate telephone number as I wanted to file a complaint and he states I don’t have it but it shouldn’t be hard to look it up. I am applaud at the customer service I received after being a valued customer with them for so long. I have never experience this type of service and to think I was just about to give them more money to service my son prescription. I will be filing a complaint and seeing what they plan to do to make this right for a loyal customer.

  • Ilene says:

Meant actually to say the customer service from the staff is the worst. Unprofessional and it has happened many times in person and the phone. I was told it takes 5 min to run your insurance and she wouldn’t do before my exam. She rather just stand there doing nothing. I didn’t want to end up having to pay for exam . The end result was they didn’t take the group my insurance was under MetLife superior ppo. I would paid out pocket over $200.
The doctor is very sweet but not her staff

  • Ilene says:

My eye doctor is the best ever and I been going to her many years.
The problem is her staff which as the worst ever customer service
The rudest and non helpful in person and over the phone
I will never ever go back to that location

I purchased Ralph Lauren Glasses from Lens Crafters at Eastdale Mall in Montgomery, AL & I’ve NEVER had WORSE SEEViCE!! To start with they treat U like they could careless if your there or not!! I told them my 81 year old mom was in the car could someone please help me!? There was A man on the phone I ask if he’d help me when he got off the phone but he didnt I had to go & find him & ask again for help (I don’t know why I didn’t leave) I picked two pair out but didn’t buy them because I couldn’t decide & they were definitely NO HELP!! I call the next day to see what time they close so I could arrange someone to sit with my mom they told me 8:00. I told them I was on the way to order & pay for the glasses I had picked out.

I got there at 7:40 the bars were down like they were closed I ask the employee threw the bars if he could please let me in so I could pay for my glasses he told me NO “He had to go pick his 1 year old up” I said its not 8 yet he said very RUDELY MAM I TOLD U I GOT TO GO GET MY KID!! They could of saved me A hour drive & sitter fees for my mom had they told me when I called that they would NOT Be there to 8:00 like they were suppose to be!! So I went back 2 days later (like A idiot) because SERVICE AGAIN WAS HORRIBLE!! I Also wanted Perscription Sunglasses & ask if they had any deal on those they said No all they had was 40 off lens.

I go pick my glasses up they were loose I ask them to tighten them he got them “Acted like he tighten them” Just with his hands!! Then I go to Mobile AL to see my daughter my glasses were so loose they were fallen off my face so Thankfully the Lens Crafters there said they could tighten them for me & they did & their Customer Service Was AMAZING!! I ask the manager if they had any deals on 2nd pair of glasses or sunglasses he said when you bought yours they should of offered you 40% off lens & 40% off the frames THEY DID NOT!!

So Im just wandering if yall tolerade this kind of service? I hadn’t had my glasses 30 days yet & thinking I may take them back & buy somewhere else because the treatment & charges were UNACCEPTABLE!!

A very serious complaint. I broke the temple on my glasses while in NY. I went to LensCrafters on Broad St. the staff’s name was Anderson. He looks at my frame. Comes back great we have the frame $50. Because I have insurance. He takes my broken frame. I put glasses on. Fuzzy I take them off I think new frame I leave. I paid over $1,000 for Broadway tickets. Fuzzy still. In fact I took my glasses off and could see better! It was miserable! I call my LensCrafters. I go and they look at my glasses.
    Two litttttle problems
    1. Anderson NEVER PUT MY PERSCRIPTION INTO THE NEW FRAME!!!! So subsequently it ruined my 73 rd Birthday!
    2. AND ANDDDD IT WAS THE WRONG FRAME. Now I want some form of reimbursement in either $$$$ or glasses. I called NY and they said “ he’ll have a conversation. Fine ! Where does that leave me! I saw FUZZY
    AT BEST 6 shows ruined
Please advise how I can achieve full and total satisfaction..

  • Larry Thompson says:

Excellent service and staff. Manager (Elizabeth) in Roanoke Virginia replaced a ear piece on my reading glasses from parts she had. I really appreciated the kindness. It’s great to find helpful people these days. She saved me a lot of money and I’m on a fixed income. Please tell her she is appreciated. Thank you

  • Marisol A. says:

Have been a loyal customer for over 15 years as well as other household members . My current location uses tele doctor now and my son wanted to get fitted for contacts as well so they suggested I needed to go to the store which is located at the mall, made an appointment and confirmed with staff thst he would be a first time contact wearers, but when we got there they said they didn’t provide that service .

Had to return 3 times just for an eye exam, and then 3 more times because there were issues with the glasses prescription or contacts.

I tried returning my glasses because I paid for high index, thin lenses with minimal distortion and they gave me regular lenses and charged me over $200.

The glasses gave me bad headaches, nausea even after strictly wearing them for two weeks. I was unable to return to the store within the one month period to return the glasses because of scheduling issues because I work till 7pm. Now I have to get another eye exam I won’t be using LensCrafters again, can’t trust their doctors at least not the tele doctors and will need to pay for the eye exam when is their fault I have issues with the new prescription which they changed twice within a week and still not any good .

  • Al Norah says:

Lens Crafters, your prices are causing customers to spend more out of pocket on glasses than Medicare plans allows, The insurance company pays $330.00 of the cost of the glasses which $551.76 leaving me a total $221.00 to pay when I was quoted of $177.95 plus taxes, this was a surprise to me. This is the second set of glasses I purchased from Lens Crafters since December 2022, Never again, I return to the store on 01/12/2023 to get an explanation of the charges on my new bill from the manager and was told the number were correct. Go figure? This is a scam I’m highly disappointment inlens crafters lack of integrity and service! See you on Yelp.

  • Louis Makrdichian says:

I am a customer of your Nevada store #97 and and will NEVER use Lenscrafters again. I will blog as many sites as possible to tell people not to go to your stores. I ordered my glasses on December 23 2022 and still have not received them. Your people are liars and keep moving my receive date back. They told me that the lab broke the lenses twice. This is how you treat your customers? Then the manager told me that they got the glasses ready on the 6th but one lense is scratched and the new set will be hearon the 9th. I called today and they are now telling me the 13th. I can’t cancel and get a refund because I will loose my 2022 benefits. I’m going to tell everyone how you treat your customers.i spent 226.88 over my benefits and treated like CRAP. I know you care about 1 person but I’m going to tell anybody I can not to go to Lenscrafters.

  • Carlos says:

i have been to one of your stores with lens cracked from the lower side of the frame two times since May of 2022, i have another frame and the same thing has happened. And the wont put the lens into one of their own frames. Guarantee, etc was their answer . does not make sense. Maybe they have poor technicians. Going one more time and if I don’t get a resolve , they would have lost and old customer

  • Linda says:

How this company could have filled my prescription so poorly on my ray ban sunglasses is beyond me. I could not see distances or close ups. And the so called *licensed optometrist* argued with me before she went to check them to discover the *axis* was *off*. That’s the best explanation I could get and, of course, NO APOLOGY. Good luck with this attitude, Lenscrafters. No more business from me.

  • Rhonda says:

My insurance was changed at my job, so I had very little choice or where to go. I choose Lenscrafters because I had heard good reviews. Well I am glad I check my FSA regularly. I was charged three times for the same glasses and sunglasses. I am very upset after spending an extreme amount of money that I now have to wait to get my money back. This FSA account is overdrawn and they are expecting me to pay it back. I don’t think so. I want my money refunded. This visit was in St. Clairsville, Ohio

  • Tom Durica says:

When I went in to pickup my new glasses (Aug. 31, 2022) one of the lens had been made using the negative prescripiton rather than the positive. After twenty minutes of tell the agent the glasses were bad they finally tested them and acknowledged the glass were bad. The original glasses were ready for pickup in 5 days. It is a month and I am still waiting for the new glasses to be delivered. The store is in Burr Ridge, IL.

  • Craig Koch says:

I’m informorming you of your unprofessional employee. First, as I was in the backroom filling out my papers as looked at the person working at the counter. I noticed the employee Stacy was leaning on the counter while it looked like she was sleeping. Next, when I asked Stacy when I paid if the lenses can be put in the same frames. She stated they won’t be liable if they are damaged. That makes no sense and only caters to incompetent technicians. She can see there is nothing wrong with my frames. She wanted to wait to see what the technician says. After waiting waiting an hour Stacy let me know the technician will not be coming in. Lens Crafter has now lost my future business

This information is incorrect for this company. This address and phone # is for a retail store NOT the corporate office! I know because I am the Store Market Manager of this location listed here. This website’s misinformation is causing a lot of issues for my store team.

    The corporate office address is:
4000 Luxottica Place Mason, OH 45040.

    Customer Care phone number: 1 (877) 753-6727.

Please do your research and adjust accordingly.

I can also express the disappointment after waiting for 30 days for my glasses. The store never called me to update me as there 15 year customer. After having to drive to the store (I was on hold for 30min), Lens crafter hold me they did not know where my order was. They lost a customer. I’m keeping it short, waisted enough time. Buy your glasses from another compnay.

  • Fran Finkelstein says:

I cannot begin to express the disappointment and stress I received at my recent experience with LensCrafters. Recept #2002826. Store 407. Salesperson Shirley
I came in to buy a pair of glasses. I already had purchased recently a reading pair and loved them by Coach. I now needed drying glasses. To make things easier I asked if I could get the same frame. Shirley said it came in two colors. BLACK and the one I had. After much discussion I decided to get the BLACK to differentiate between reading and driving. Shirley was very nice however when I was called to pick them up is when all the problems began. Shirley was not there. I had to wait almost 45 minutes. Finally the salesperson Rolla asked if I was here for a pickup. I said yes and she got the glasses. They were NOT THE BLACK but the same as my reading glasses. I was upset. Instead of being understanding and showing good customer service she embarrassed me in front of others saying “calm down”. Trust me when I say I was not yelling. I tried explaining I was supposed to get them with the black part that goes over your ears and she kept telling me there is no black. I told her I would call my friend that was with me when I ordered them and would verify that Shirley said black and they looked black. She kept arguing with me. Is he said there were only two colors in the Coach frame I ordered and one was the Coach color and the other Tortoise. TORTOISE was NEVER MENTIONED when I ordered it. So with no choice I asked that the new lenses be put in the tortoise friend. She went to the drawer. Got the frame. Told me it would take 5 minutes and left me for another customer never to come back to me. I sat for quite awhile and Sebastian the manager in the lab came out and handed me the glasses. At no time was any measurements taken. No one sat with me to see if the glass measurements were correct. If they fit right since it was not the same frame. All Sebastian said is Shirley wrote the wrong SKU number. I recently lost both my husband of 50 years and a few months ago my mom. I was not going to go thus you more stress with Rolla who totally ignored me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I drove home unsure if the glasses were measured correctly and when I wore them I don’t feel I got them correctly for my eyes as I did not see any change. I would like to come back with them but not deal with Rolla and find out why the glasses I ordered are not what I received. I ordered black and tortoise was never discussed. Snd why Shirley put down the wrong SKU number. It usually takes days to get your glasses and here I got them in a few minutes which makes me weary. Also I was never given anything to read or look at when I was handed the glasses which is a usual practice when purchasing glasses. To see that every iOS okay. I would like a call and appointment as soon as possible. 6092138284 to explain why I received such horrible services

  • Traci Presson says:

  • Mary says:

I have been a Lenscrafters customer for over 30 years. Most of the time, I have been satisfied with the glasses I have bought there. That is no longer true. I am contacting you to tell you I am extremely disappointed with your product.

I bought a new pair of glasses w lenses in June at your Deer Park store. The lenses are: PG AVP Fea Classic Premium AR.
The progression is very good. But it was not long before I started to notice scratches and other defects on my lenses. Please understand: I have worn glasses for 50 years. I know how to take care of glasses and I always do. I use only solutions, cloths and wipes specifically meant for eyeglass lenses. I never set them face down. I am careful not to expose them to excessive heat, etc.

But by the time I had worn these lenses for 5-6 weeks, I had more scratches and other defects than I had on my previous lenses after 3+ years of wear. There was a large area on the right lens where my ophthalmologist confirmed that the AR had worn off.

These defects continued to worse, so I took them back in. I did not have the Lens Protection Program, and it was more than 30 days since I picked them up. Nonetheless, I do not expect $270 lenses to be unusable before I’ve worn them for 3 months. This is not a wearer problem: it is a product problem. I would think Lenscrafters would be embarrassed about such an occurrence and would stand behind their product and replace them without cost.

I was appalled to find out that LC has no policy for replacing lenses that are clearly defective. These defects were already affecting my vision, and that would continue to worsen. No glasses I have ever owned have ever had such problems, including my LC lenses. Such an inferior product is completely unacceptable.

The manager of the Deer Park store, Gina, did acknowledge that I had a valid point, that the lenses should not deteriorate that quickly, but she was limited by corporate policy as to what she could do. She did as much as she could do. I am not disappointed with Gina. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with LC.

I am finding out now that other LC customers have had similar problems, and that the quality seems to have deteriorated in the last several years. Mine are supposed to have the higher-quality, 12 (vs 6) layer coating. Well, either someone counted wrong, or the product is just junk.

Gina did allow me to purchase the LPP so that I could get new lenses without paying full cost. Frankly, I find that unacceptable. Your policy is extremely restrictive, and your product is inferior.
And now- I have had the new lenses for 3-4 weeks and guess what? There are some scratches and a small part of the AR coating is already wearing off! And I am being even more careful than ever. Very, very frustrating! I am now stuck with paying $25 every 2-3 months to have good lenses.

Needless to say, I will not be purchasing LC glasses ever again the future, unless you back your product and make this right for me, and unless you provide some evidence that you have improved the quality of your lenses.

    Mary

P.S. I have tried and tried to send an email through your “contact us” link. Clearly, you do NOT want anyone to contact you. The dropdown to designate the State does not work, either on my phone or on my laptop. You make it extremely hard to contact you. I cannot hold on the phone, and your chat and phone hours are extremely short.

  • Dawn says:

I was always a customer of Nashua Eye Associates and over the years have had three pairs of glasses which I can still use as they are crystal clear. For all three pairs I paid less than the almost $500 I just spent with your company back in the spring after trying you out. I am extremely disappointed to have paid for anti glare, the coating for blue lights and for them to be scratch resistant as they have a horrible glare and many tiny scratches . I get constant eye strain and headaches from then. I stopped in and was told they dont know how to help me. This is a huge expense for such poor quality. I do not know what you used for the lenses but they are like worse then cheap reading glasses from the drug store. Please advise. Thank you.

went to Lenscrafters store in Wesley Chapel , Fl. (shops at wiregrass) the first sales person took my information – I was looking for sports goggles (glasses) that I could use while riding my bike (cycling) . after showing me what they had and taking my measurements – glasses were picked out and order – weeks went by no call – i call the store to check on my order , when i was told they had a issue with my prescription – i was told the lenses and frame would not work with my prescription – i was told then they would see if they could make it work. It did not work. after i was told by the original sales person and manager that is all they had sorry. i called to see what else they could do , I was introduced to the Asst. Manager Vanessa T. – after talking with Vanessa for a short while she and I came up with a solution – to which we ordered a pair of sunglasses and with the suggestion of Vanessa to get raised nose peace (like my goggles) to fit on the sunglasses to make them fit with my prescription – I now have a great pair of riding glasses. So this is a shout out to one of your great employees who took the time to really care for her customers. I am writing this comment about your Asst. Manager Vanessa T. (wiregrass mall, Wesley Chapel, fl.) in hopes you hire more employees like her.

    Thank you.
