About Lancome, History and Headquarters Information

Headquartered in New York, US Lancôme is one of the biggest Paris based cosmetic and fragrance distributors who distribute the products through their online website and cosmetic division shops. 

The company was founded in 1935 and it was overtaken by L’Oreal Paris in 1964. 84 years ago it was founded by Armand Petitjean in Paris, France. Currently, it is the luxury division of L'Oreal Paris where one can find various high-end fragrances and makeup products. 

Some of the most famous and highly preferred products are like their mascaras of the visionnaire range called Hypnos, skin serum called Dreamtone for treating blemishes. One can visit their online website or beauty stores where one will be guided to buy the right cosmetic products matching one’s skin tone and skin type. Some of the biggest perfumers are involved in creating the Lancôme fragrances. La vie estbelle is their historically sold best selling fragrance in entire France in the year 2014.

    The worst customer service ever! I plan to contact someone who can give legal advice and expose their false advertising and so called rewards program. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE!

    Worst customer service ever. I have called 7 times over an issue with me returning a product. I’ve been told 3 of those times a supervisor would call me back. Not one of them called me back. The last representative promised me a call back from a supervisor. I can’t believe Lancolm is this bad. I love my lancolm products, but customer service is awful.

    Recently made a an order. I checked free shipping but when they order confirmed shipping had been added. I canceled the order within 6 minutes and have proof of that. Package was shipped anyway after a couple emails and two hours worth of calls I still had no satisfaction from lancome. They took no responsibility and their service rep was very rude.
    Customers deserve better than this.

    I’ve been using Benefiat with SPF of 30 for decades! I cannot believe that it has been discontinued. Majorly disappointed in Lancôme. I am 68 years old and can’t remember ever using another moisturizer. Why eliminate a good product? Makes no sense whatsoever!!

    WATCH EXPIRATION DATES!!! I purchased 2 bottles of Lancôme Renergie Lift Makeup from Macys.com. Wrong color, boxes are marked “Testers” and both expired! 08/21 and 01/22. Not acceptable! Lancôme USA, your faithful customers deserve a better experience!

    BEWARE LANCOME SCAM :On March 2, 2022 I ordered Absolue rich cream that promised a promotional gift offer: Lancome’s 7 piece gift set valued at $115. Not only was the cream not processed to be shipped for 2 weeks, when it finally arrived, there was no gift included. There was no email of apology or explanation why the promotional gift was not shipped. I then called customer service for the third time, to be told Lancome had cancelled the gift and that there was nothing that they could do because the gift was now out of stock. Again, no apology, no explanation, no replacement. If you read through the internet regarding Lancome reviews, this is what the company does and worse. Not a fluke or a coincidence, Lancome.com cannot be trusted!! I will never purchase from them again.

      Me either! They lie and make up stuff and it’s against the law and false advertising. I plan to try to start a class action lawsuit against these scammers. ITS AGAINST THE LAW, what they are doing!

    I was trying to place an order online and it failed by charged my credit card. I called support, got some rude lady that told me the only option I got is for me to wait 30 days for the charge to fall off. I asked if i could talk to an supervisor, she told me that there is not supervisor for this type of stations and hang up. I’m in shock. How rude. I’m definitely calling the better business bureau and my credit card company. Unbelievable. I was not expecting this from a company like Lancôme

    I ordered 4 of the same makeup sets online for an out of state recipient. The recipient stated she received one of the four sets in her package but the invoice showed 4. If the recipient had not notified me, I would not have known. In addition the phone reps dropped the call on me twice when I called to notify them of the situation. I find the company unreliable and the phone reps unprofessional. The situation is not resolved yet either.

    Ordered item. Item was said to have been shipped through UPS, but now there is no record of item being shipped or even UPS picking up item. Emailed and called several times and never got any responses through email and got several different stories when I called. Issue still not resolved.

    Have been buying Lancôme products for years. Wanted to order on line but company only ship UPS which is not convenient for me. I live alone and work out of the home. There is no one to accept shipment when delivered. If the small package come by the regular mail, then it comes to my mail box. Should I then seek to purchase, lipsticks, eye liners, liquid make up products, make up primer, lip liner, mascara then by another Brand name? Thank you for not allowing your customer to have an option convenient for them.
