Lamps Plus is one of the biggest corporation in the private retail industry with several physical and online stores for various types of lighting fixtures, furniture, and many other home décor furnishings. It was established in 1976 by Dennis Swanson and is still headed and run by Swanson and his wife. 

the company is headquartered at Los Angeles, California and has around 37 stores all across united states.  They have currently 1500 employees working in several stores. One can either visit their stores or can shop online from their website. They have different offices for manufacturing, trading and several international offices.

One can find differ fixtures for one’s home like lamps, lamp shades, chandeliers, floor lamps, wall lights, furniture, table and chairs, and many other home décor products. They also have a subsidiary company named as Lamps-Plus centennial inc. and it is known for manufacturing and providing various fixtures for indoors and outdoors for new homes and also to the builders who construct multiple family homes.

    Dear Dennis –

    Your customer service reps Aaron (in Oregon) and Champs (in Calif) couldn’t have been more customer service friendly and efficient. Your company delivered an outdoor lamp to my front door on the afternoon before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately it was stolen while we were away for the holiday. I ordered another of the same product as I want to see if we truly like the design and construction sufficiently to order 18 units for our new house under construction off Cape Cod. Champs asked me to hold to check with his manager to see what recourse I had or what the company might do in any event knowing that I would order another 18 units. He came back and told me his manager said to file a police report and notify my insurance carrier. For a $159 loss I will do neither. Nor will I likely order 18 more from Lamps Plus. Not sure.

    Thought you should know that you have 2 great young customer service staff and a manager that should have offered to do something, but didn’t much care.

    I am very disappointed with Lamps Plus. On May 9 order YC0428221242185919003 shipped. My credit card was charged at that time. On May 16 it was delivered to a stranger in a different state. I called customer service. On May 25 I was informed a new shipment was being set up. That order is X1012112405. That order shipped on June 2. It was delivered on June 10. It required a shelf be installed and the legs. The holes in the shelf do not line up with the leg screws. There is no way to install and use the shelf. The Grimes Grand Console table was supposed to have two useable surfaces. I lost 50% of the surface area. I asked customer service for a 50% discount and was told they would only refund a mere $125.00. This piece was $850.00. That’s not even a 20% discount. The piece is big, awkward and heavy.
    I really don’t want to hassle with repackaging it (being a 70 year old woman). But I will if I cannot get a reasonable discount. Thank you for your consideration.

    To the attention of Dennis Swanson, Just a heads up on your Lynnwood Washington store and one employee that understands customer service.
    Justin Rangel without hesitation or questioning my purchase resolved my issue.
    Its wasn’t a major purchase just a simple desk lamp, but to me was a great purchase do the fact It fit in well with what my work area needed.
    The lamp simply quit working and so I took it in to see if a repair could be made.
    Justin investigated the problem and than contacted me as to his decision to replace it which he did.
    Justin didn’t waste my time with excuses or how it malfunctioned but solved my issue .
    Wow being in the customer service business for 47 years this kind of service is lets say not the norm.
