About Yrc Worldwide, History and Headquarters Information

YRC Worldwide is a freight shipping company transporting industrial and commercial goods. Apart from shipping the company also offers truck load transport. The headquarters of the company is situated in Kansas, USA. It was founded by Cleve Harrell in 1929.

The company earlier became popular as the Yellow cab company operating cars alone. Later when oil was discovered at Oklahoma, it began to expand its business with the founders brother joining him. They first launched mules and later extended their freight services to the small manufacturers.

In 1933, most of the company’s business came under government regulation to increase the employment opportunities of the US. The brothers broke their partnership after a few weeks.

In 2003, the company acquired Roadway Corporation which revived the company to its early stages. The two companies are now together operating under the name YRC Worldwide.

Bree (‘BreeAnna.Morgan@YRCFreight.com’) was very knowledgeable and EXTREMELY helpful with a very difficult situation yesterday. Whatever you are paying her is not enough. Valuable employees like Bree need to be financially rewarded for their outstanding work.
