Very bad experience at Wingate Hotel in Somerset, PA. First, all we heard from very haggard woman at front desk was the hotel is short of help. No excuse for filthy rooms. The halls were freezing cold and had greasy spots on carpet. Opened our room, it had odor and mold smell. Carpet looked dirty, small pieces of paper on floor. Found small leather pouch with a small strange looking piece of plastic in it on floor. Took this to front desk. Comforter on beds were hidden under sheets due to comforter being stained. Refrigerator rattled, no coffee maker in room, no chair to sit, only a rolling desk chair. Front desk gave us a cleaner room, but comforters were still hidden under a top sheet. We paid for 2 nights, were given a discount. Absolutely no excuses for dirty, smelly room! We felt you needed to know and we will never be back!
