To Whom it May Concern,
I would like you to be aware of an intolerable situation that occurred in your store in Canal Winchester, OH on Thursday, September 7, 2023. I am a speech therapist who works in the Canal Winchester area. I was introducing my 11-year-old patient to the social skill of social interaction and decided to bring him into your store, same as I have done at many other stores in your area.
I tried to engage Terry, the franchise owner, and found him to be very rude and demeaning. Terry offered us no other option but to leave. My patient, his younger sister, their mother, and I were highly offended by his inappropriate comments, which I am happy to share at a later time. Terry demonstrated inappropriate customer service skills; as well as, how NOT to interact with others. It was clear who was acting like a child.
One of the many reasons and purposes of running a business is to engage a patron and make them feel welcomed. Apparently, Terry does not care to deal with the public. One of the many rude comments Terry made was insinuating that we were not going to buy anything. Well on the contrary, I always try to buy something. I like to patronize the business that we visit and practice the skill of making transactions.
I know there are 4 less people Terry will have to worry about having to deal with. I truly hope the owners and employees at your other stores are more hospitable and welcoming to ALL customers.
In closing, my patient renamed the store, “Wild Birds Limited.”
Professionally,
Robyn Silberstein, M.A., CCC-SLP
Hello, I’ve sent note below twice to your service email and heard nothing back. Original mailing was 08/29
Hello,
I purchased finch feeder from former local WBU store. The feeder is now developing rapid mold growth after every rain storm. This requires disposal of very costly Finch Blend food. Not sure why this is happening. It didn’t have this occur when feeder was new. Can you send me a free replacement as I believe this is covered by lifetime warranty? I’m attaching photos of this condition. Thank you. Tom Ivey
