Each year i buy a gift cards from Stop n Stop and Western beef as a holiday food donation. I went to Dutch Broadway/Elmont location only to be told by an employee they dont sell them. Then mgr Maria said they dont have any. This is the season for giving and gift cards are a must. I choose Western beef because of location and cultural variety. Guess I will be spending my 200 this year and future at stop and shop where I know they are always available.

WESTERN BEEF 130-35 Merrick Blvd, Queens, NY 11434

ON 7/24/2023 I ENTERED YOUR ESTABLISHMENT A LITTLE AFTER 5PM, WANTING TO GET SOME COLD CUTS FROM YOUR DELI.
I STOOD THERE FOR A LITTLE WHILE; I CALLED OUT TO SEE IF ANY ONE WAS THERE WORKING (NO ANSWER). ALSO, THERE WAS NO CLOSED SIGN OR ANYTHING. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN A LOT. I ASK THE OTHER MANAGERS OR SUPERVISORS NOT SURE WHO THEY ARE BUT IT WAS TWO YOUNG LADIES WEARING WHITE SHIRTS AND BASICALLY, THEY BLEW ME OFF. AND THEN I WAS TOLD THE MANGER OF THE DELI LEFT. I NOTICED THAT YOUR STORE WESTERN BEEF IN OTHER NIEGHBORHOODS DON’T HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I DO CONGRATULATE YOU ON THE UPGRADES YOU ARE DOING TO THE STORE. BUT I WAS REALLY UPSET AT THE AMOUNT OF TIME I SPENT STANDING THERE WAITING FOR SOME HELP. AND STILL LEFT WITH OUT THE GROCERIES I NEEDED.

    SINCERELY,
    TANYA POSTELL.

  • Elena Vila says:

Definitely lost a customer. 1 week ago I went in to purchase groceries as I do every week. I accidentally left a pack of paper towels and toilet paper after I paid for it. The following morning I went back to store and informed the manager and showed her receipt. She told me someone would check the camera per policy and call me back. After 3 days I went back to store and was told that she needed more time because the 1 individual that checks cameras had been off and just and back and was backed up. 1 week later I go back and am told that they still haven’t checked cameras. At thus point it is 100% obvious that customers are not put 1st. Especially those that are faithfully going week after week and spending their hard earned money. I find it disgusting that for $18 I have been given the run around. Your company must really need it. I call that stealing from your customers. I’m done. I will travel the additional 5 blocks to food bazaar where customer are the main priority.

Hello I lived in the Bronx for so many years and Western Beef was my shopping spot every weekend now I relocated to Virginia I noticed the Latino population is growing but we don’t have a supermarket like yours please can you consider open one around Newport News VA?

  • Anita Williams says:

Good Morning, and to Whom it may concern:

I’d tried to contact the corporate office or Western Beef, and the operator at 9:10 a.m. on Friday October 15, 2021 who picked up the phone at 718-417-3770 gave me the impression she did not want to work, or it was too early in the morning for her. She said her name is Maria, but they way she said it I’m not sure.

Maria transferred me to Elsa’s extension, and I was not able to leave a message, and after redialing the number times that Maria’s is picking up calls, she finally picked up the phone again and said Elsa is not in the office until 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. If she knew she was not in until this time, why would she transfer me to a desk with no one there. I’d ask her if I can speak to someone else, and she said there was no one else.

This behavior is unacceptable. I know it is hard these days to find workers, but is this what you want you company to known by? People who could care less about customer service. I’m a customer and I think I did not ask for much, only for some service.

Now for the reason I called corporate in the first place.

There’s a promotion in the White Plains store that says to download the app and get 50,000 points and every time you make a purchase, they will scan the bar code and point will accumulate and eventually there will be rewards. Well, I’ve never received the 50,000 points. I’ve contacted the store that I’d frequent, and they did not know what to do. They told me to contact corporate.

Please have someone reach out to me regarding this matter, as I feel I will get nowhere with the people you have answering the phone at this time.

    Thank you.
    Anita, a very disappointed customer.

You are not the only one! The QR reader does not even read the QR! No 50000 points either! The whole thing is just a BIG JOKE!

We desperately need a Western Beef near Riverview Fl on west coast near Tampa. Miss all the great Italian products. Public just doesn’t cut it

  • Lenny H says:

Hello – I’ve been a customer for years. I buy a beverage called “blu seltzer” you charge a 5 cent deposit, but your recycle machine does not accept the can. Could you please have someone look into this.

  • Jennifer says:

You have lost a customer for life! I went into your store *Hypoluxo Road* this afternoon and noticed several customers did not have masks on, as is the policy clearly stated on the door. I asked someone who I guess was management-I didn’t see her name and she didn’t offer one if maybe someone should monitor the doors. I was told it wasn’t their policy to “baby sit” customers. EXCUSE ME??!! I’m just getting over rom being sick-non Covid, thank God, but I realy don’t feel like risking myself. Sorry you hire such unprofessional people.

I am appalled after making a bulk meat purchase in your West Hempstead store recently. I saw you had skirt steak on sale for $7.99/pound. I bought one that was 8.24 lbs for $65 and change. After the butcher cleaned, dressed and packaged the meat, I paid and went home. I weighed the meat when I got home to package for freezing and found that I was left with about 4.5 pounds of just meat, meaning I paid about $30 FOR FAT AND GRIZZLE. Or, just for meat, I paid $14.44/lb which is $2 MORE per pound than the prepackaged stuff in the case. What an ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. Never again.

130-35 Merrick Blvd 11434, the worst supermarket ever been to , the workers are lazy the lines no matter what time you shop there your waiting on line for at least an hour ,they dont want to open other registers ,molded bread and pastries all the time, meat is bad, the cashiers are super unprofessional and rude. the supervisors have no control over the staff they need undercover boss in this place or shut it down.. I lived in Maspeth Queens and the flushing location never had any issues, this Merrick location is a health hazard they need the big boss to go under cover and see how this place is being operated its an disgust.

  • Peter says:

Your deli department at 431 West 16th Street, NYC is overrun with flies and tiny bugs. Clean it up! You can do better. Also, so many prices there do not ring up correctly. Signs on the shelves with sales prices are always out of date. Garbage on the floor everywhere. Cashiers are snotty and misquided. Prices always need to be checked causing delays at the checkout. I’ve been shopping there for many years and it’s only getting worse. Clean it up or the health department will be called.
