About Uline, History and Headquarters Information

History

Uline was founded in the year 1980. The company has been operational for almost 39 years now. The founders of the company were Liz Uihlein and Richard Uihlein. The founders of the company started Uline’s operations from their house’s basement only, after recognising the local needs for a shipping supply distributor. The first product of the company was the H101 carton sizer. The product of the company became famous and had sold well too. This encouraged the company to add more products to its portfolio as well, by the next year.

The company had established its distribution centres around various states and cities of the USA and Canada, namely – Pennsylvania, Chicago, Minneapolis, Allentown, Los Angeles, Wisconsin, Seattle, Dallas, etcetera. The company also established centres in Mexico and Canada as well. In the year 2016, the company started the construction of its headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, on a land size of 200 acres. The place has two buildings on it – the first one being 279,000 square feet and the second one being 300,000 square feet. The headquarters of the company is based in 12575 Uline Drive. The name of the place is Pleasant Prairie, while the name of the state is Wisconsin, USA. The pin code of the area is 53158.

I like to work in Uline

  • Martha Blohm says:

I purchased a U-Line Nugget Maker in Dec 2020 and have had a series of maintenance issues specifically with water pooling on the ground and causing my electrical circuits to trip. On-line Techs and local service appliance representatives aren’t helpful and borderline incompetent. Reached out to customer service representative and thought she would be of help but was also sorely disappointed. I have owned this appliance for 8 months and it has been operational for 3 months and offline most of this summer due to incompetent service. I have requested a new unit however at this point I just want a full refund. Its a shame that purchasing a high end appliance doesn’t come with top notch service, hoping that you rescue your company from poor customer service. Wishing this concern reaches Richard and Liz Uihlein directly.

p.s. I was previously an affiliate for Uline.

  • Karen Parr says:

I apologize. I need to be more specific. To whom (at the CEO level) may I direct a costumer service complaint against Uline’s Accounts Receivable’s department. I would like to do this via email. Currently, I am preparing one to Mr. and Mrs. Uihlein. Executive email addresses aren’t easy to find but not impossible. I can call as well; but, again, I would like to speak to someone at the CEO level or to one of their staff.

  • Karen Parr says:

Where may I direct a complaint that can be addressed by the CEOs of Uline?

I applied at your company on I94 for a warehouse job. My resume is outstanding and I am overqualified for the position I applied for and am in great shape as I can lift 80 pounds 3200 times per day which I did on my last job last closed and put me out of a job after 28 years. I was told that you had more better qualified people then me and was told I will not be hired. This would be impossible if you seen my resume so the only other reason that I was turned down to work for you is that im 56 years old so I am hurt to feel discrimination from Uline .Ihave lots of jobs I can take many paying and positions much higher then I applied at Uline for but I just wanted more of a job working and not a more stressful job and it should have been no problem for me to work for you.Im not wanting a job just letting you know how this made me feel.

    • Karen Parr says:

That stinks if you were straight-up told, “[You] will not be hired”. I hope someone at Uline addressed this comment.

    • Johnny B says:

I was just there a week ago for a job fair for a warehouse position. The guy who was interviewing me told me that he would give HR my information, and proceed to the next step. Well, what he told me and what HR told me were two different things. Of course I was told by HR that I didn’t get chosen. They are not a truthful company. Even if I had a lot of experience.
