About Txu Energy, History and Headquarters Information

TXU Energy is a company leading the retail electricity market. TXU Energy is situated in Irving, Texas and extends its services to the locality of its headquarters. The company’s main objective is to provide retail electricity to its residential and corporate customers that are grounded in deregulated regions of Texas ever since the Texas electricity market had been deregulated back in 2002. The Company was founded in 2002 and back then, was headquartered in Dallas Texas, but being a subsidiary of Vistra Energy, the company envisioned itself to become the present day leader in the retail electricity market and by virtue of an adept business model, managed to do so. TXU Energy was given the opportunity to provide the state of Texas with its services and the company earnestly stood up to the challenges faced as a consequence of deregulation of the retail electricity market and has now become the forefront of the electricity supplying companies.

Wort company I have ever dealt with. Too many employees have no idea what they are doing. Promises made and never kept.

Why do I have a hard time renewing my txu contract to what I have now

  • Mia says:

I called to cancel services with a rep I don’t recall his name (I’m sure it can be found on the acct) I told him everything I was moving and I didn’t know if my companion had already set up services he told me he would check and let me know! He stated that there were no services and I did agree to transfer services… only to find out my companion had in fact set up services with a different company which the rep was obviously able to see since he had those services with the other company to keep me with TXU!!!!! This is beyond me it’s fraudulent and dishonest practices!!! Now I have to cancel with a $150 cancellation fee so he can get commission for saving a customer that didn’t need to be saved… I have been with TXU since I moved to Texas in 2013 whether it be in my names or my sister whom was my roommate… if I have go burn candles I WILL NEVER USE THESE SERVICES AGAIN!!!

I so agree, they are rude and obnoxious. I spoke to one yesterday she spoke to me like I was a second class citizen, AND DO NOT GET THEIR WARRANTY THEY OFFER, they take your money and never never fix a thing, neither will they assist in a problem. We have been without AC for 9 days, and this employee #3322 told me that was my problem.
Than I asked for her manager and she said she didn’t have one and they will concur with her, she proceeded to transfer me to an offshore rep, unreal.

We submitted a letter 20 Sept to your Chief Marketing Director-Sydney C. Seiger w/copy to Tanya Mackey (office of president) via email and USPS advising TXU’s last day of service will be 30 Sept. The new provider will start service 01 Oct. We requested confirmation of the same. Today 27 Sept we receive a “surprise” text stating ”your account is now closed”. We are now subject to non-contract service rate (excessive) until we can bring the new provider forward. Perhaps this is TXU’s strategy. We have been with TXU 15 yrs. & 9 months- and your customer service has diminished.

  • Jerry Chumley says:

We received a letter regarding our current contract, advising that we may cancel within 14 days of end date with no early cancellation fee. However your Plan Specialist Fernando (1-855-423-6309) advises that the no early cancellation fee only applies if you are continuing with TXU. If you are transferring service, then we will incur a fee eventhough we are cancelling within the 14 day window. Is this correct?

  • Jerry Chumley says:

We are no longer receiving our billing statements via email. July is the second month in which an email notice was NOT generated. Your custom service has been of no value in this matter. Your system shows our billing preference “email” however no email commencing June ’19. We discovered that a notice was posted on the Message Center, however no “email”. Please explain
