Dear Mr James Hauslein – President,
Firstly, I like to begin by saying I hope both your personal and professionally families are well during this unprecedented era.
Further to being a daughter of the high street, in England we are losing a lot of the high street due to the likes of Amazon. A woman with two minors, I want to make sure that I go out and buy from the high street.
In support of the high street, I very seldom shop online and if I do, I go to the source directly if I can. Amazon I keep away from not just because it is killing the high street, it is also congested our roads AND the door bells keep ringing early in the morning til late at night for parcels for the others on our door.
In addition to the new world we are living, I appreciate this is the new norm and I have to get on that train. However, I do believe if we can keep those shops open in our community as efforts put in there and making it competitive for the likes of Amazon, it would be a better model.
Therefore, I write to you to ask you something. A way to work with me. My little one (age 12) wants to put a pair of sunglasses from her sibling (19) for Christmas. She informed me she found Ray Ban sunglasses (aviators style) on-line for under £100. I insisted she looks locally in the stores near our home and we found it at the branch on Kensington High Street. However, they were twice the price. I asked the lovely ladies if they could use discretion and reduce it on the very above grounds. However, their hands were tied. Hence the reason I write to you. If you could arrange that, my little one will go an pick it up either tomorrow and definately before Christmas.
