This place is a complete scam still waiting on claim to be paid for someone breaking into my unit it’s been 4 months calls don’t get returned I would never go here again
I have reached out to both email(s) and corporate addresses listed (certified return receipt) regarding unnotified increased rent hikes. No notification just log in and the rent increase is there. I have requested assistance with this matter, Riverview, FL facility. I have spoken with Rudy several times regarding this matter and as of the last few days he does not call back just simply advises he will call back. Clearly your legal counsel has not advised that you cannot increase rent with notice in the state of Florida and clearly SmartStop has 0 intention in rectifying the issues. I have been waiting on a refund for 7 weeks. Management, and employees, have given me one excuse after another. They act like it’s not a big deal, don’t understand why I’m do mad. And they just dont care!! I can’t get a corporate number to call for complaints, and I’m still waiting for my money.
Whats steady running through my mind is how can the security and accommodations at the Russell rd location in Las Vegas Neveda be so limited but the rent is continuously rising without any extra additions being added to the place. Plus when I unfortunately had my unit broken into, I was out of town but when I arrived to make a visit to check on my unit I was told I couldn’t until I satisfy the current rent. I’m in shook because you can charge a late fee soon as I have a lack in payments but there’s no type of incentive for your lack of security or inconvenience it brining me? From what I can tell, this company has no anticipation of satisfying the customer. Real disappointing!
To Whom It May Concern, I would like to file a formal complaint with you for not notifying your clients at the Smart Self Storage facility in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada that there were two break-ins and you did not make any effort to find out which lockers were broken into and there has been no communication on the measures being taken to prevent future break-ins as well. I contacted your company today to get some help for poor service and being told information that wasn’t true I spoke to a lady and when I told her that I was dissatisfied with the service she hung up on me and now nobody is answering the calls anymore today I need to pay my storage bill but I want to see options on how to move the first of all I don’t want to pay the full amount they raise did write the rent on me I never got a letter in the mail they said they sent it I would’ve tried to move last month if that was the case I don’t feel like it’s fair to charge $192 for what other companies are charging with air a decent working elevator and the carts are not locked up
