I have been waiting a month to get our heater fixed. It is getting colder every day and nothing is being done. I have called there (overseas) number 3 times. I get promised things that never happen. Broken promises. I feel incredibly scammed, because the people on those phones can care less if you freeze. They told me the service technician never called them with the problem with the heater or what had to be replaced. He told me that he received a letter from them saying, and I quote “We DON’T want to pay for it”
Not that it is not covered. They wanted my 100% disabled vet husband to climb into the attic and take a picture of it. I’m also disabled and can not do it. My question to them was why didn’t you have the technician that you sent out take the picture??? Do you really want to do business with this kind of service.
I got this policy two months ago I put in a claim a month after found out I had a simple roof leak. They took two months to not say nothing. I’ve been calling these people to see if my claim can be worked out somebody since someone out, they said they couldn’t send nobody out so I got my own person to come out. They give them the information now we send waiting like ducks and no one responded now they tell me that they cannot do the claim I’m not understand this company I live a company for this company and they cannot help me. I don’t like this company because they don’t do business right I’m not understanding someone need to contact me and make me understand. Why can I get my roof partial roof Fixed now they’re saying they cannot fix it. I’m not understanding I’m frustrated I’m a customer. I left a whole Nother company for this company and they are no help to me. I’m trying to see how can I get out this insurance because they are no help I can go elsewhere someone that’s going to help me with my issue. This is a bad company to go with.

He charge $65.00 service fee
After they decline my claim I fix my machine work wonderful my washer
Who I have to talk for my refund after I join I reffer my friend

They have told me that my toilet is not covered but their contract says: “6.3.1. Plumbing System. This Agreement covers the following plumbing system components: (i) line leaks in water, drain, waste or vent lines not caused by damage resulting from freezing or from roots; (ii) line breaks in water, drain, waste or vent lines not caused by damage resulting from freezing or from roots; (iii)toilet bowls; (iv) toilet tanks; (v) toilet flushing mechanisms; (vi) angle stops; (vii) risers” No response yet to my multiple calls and emails.
I have tried to get them to take my air conditioner gets under warranty repair. Man says it’s under warranty repair man has clearly took every picture turned in the estimate everything eight days ago and I will not honor it. They keep stalling I am disabled. I asked it to be put on emergency basis and they keep giving me the runaround like ask for a picture of a reevaluation more pictures. The repair man took 12 pictures of one unit +4 the transformer need to be replaced and they still are giving the run around This company does not stand by their agreement at all, even and especially for disable
They will try to get out of paying an there very hard to understand an they never handed it quickly even when the repairmen give all the info they need. I am disabled veterans an need my air conditioner an it’s been 8 days an still the run around an the repairmen said we were correct an it was covered an they will not honor It or fix what is clearly under warranty
To Whom it may concern,
Once again Select Home Warranty is denying a claim stating the main sewer line repair that is under the home with the home’s foundation in crawl space is not covered. The policy specifically states sewer lines outside the confines of the main foundation of the home are not covered, which my sewer line is within the confines of the main foundation. This claim needs to be approved and repairs completed. I need a response back today, otherwise I will take further action.

I don’t believe that I have ever been so disappointed in my life. I have called SHW several times regarding an issue with a reinbursement check of 30 dollars. Really!!!!!!!!!! 30 Dollars!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!!!! SHW will lose a good customer over 30 Dollars!!!!!!!!! For me, this is a matter of principle. I promise to tell every person that I know, go on every sourse of social media, including the news (maybe one of those special interest pieces)regarding this issue. I was on hold for over 3 and a half hours and endured the most awful elevator music that I have ever heard. I wish that I could sue on that alone!!!!!!!!!
Sued and won judgment. Select home warranty avoiding payment.
Filed a claim for a plumbing issue heard noises and flow off pressure is covered on 9-1-22. I pay for warranty so you guys find plumber for me and arrange whats what I pay for this service . Called spoke with manager to cancel policy they guaranteed to find for me. Still have not heard its now 9-7-22. Claim number 01866385 someone should take care of customers and employees who fail to.

I’m curious about something.
I have an active policy with SHW.
Recently we needed help with what we at that time was a plumbing leak.
We later found that this problem was a roof leak.
After calling SHW….on Wednesday, August 10 ,2022 about this discovery.
SHW had 48 hours to find a technician to make the repairs.
That DID NOT HAPPEN!
SHW at that time gave me permission to find a repairman.
On Saturday, August 13,2022 a repairman was found.
On Sunday, August 14,2022 I contacted SHW to let them know a repairman had been found.
Both myself and the repairman spoke to your AUTHORIZATION DEPARTMENT.
The repair diagnosis was given.
The repair procedure was discussed between SHW ,the repairman and me.
The AUTHORIZATION DEPARTMENT TOLD EVERYONE that since SHW was not able to secure a repairman for me…that since I did find one that THEY WOULD APPROVE A PAYMENT OF $100.00.
Everyone was in agreement.
The repairs were completed.
Payment was made.
An invoice was presented and forwarded to SHW for reimbursement to me.
I am NOW TOLD that my reimbursement would ONLY BE $25.00.
THIS IS NOT WHAT WAS EXPECTED OR AGREED UPON.
I EXPECT TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE AGREED AMOUNT OF $100.00

Hello,
I am not sure why I am being reimbursed for my policy, as I did not cancel it. While frustrated that my plumbing claim was denied (and venting frustration on the phone due to past bogus denials-according to repairman, not me), I called yesterday to question the denial. The representative explained the denial, and I asked how much money I would be reimbursed if I canceled my policy. She said she could not give me an exact figure but then gave a number over $500. She said the loyalty department would be able to give an exact figure. I asked to be connected to which she asked if I was planning on canceling or just getting that figure. I said that one depended on the other. If it was the $500 or so figure, I would have canceled. Once connected to loyalty, I was told that my plumbing (macerating toilet) claim was rightly denied (still wondering about that), and that if I canceled my policy I would receive $60-quite different than the number I was given previously. That was frustrating and confusing to me. The loyalty representative let me vent, then suggested that I keep the policy and he would waive my next $60 service fee. I said to him that I was not interested in the $60 service fee. I told him to keep it. I absolutely never authorized him (or anyone) to cancel my policy-to do so would be stupid for a couple of reasons:
*I paid up front for i think 3 years of “coverage”. over $1,000
*I have another claim in (refrigerator) claim #02125936
There is absolutely no way Iwould cancel all that for $60
I suppose there could have been a misunderstanding, or the representative was displeased with my venting and decided to unenroll me, but make no mistake-I did not authorize anyone to cancel my policy. If you have the recording of the call with both representatives, I am sure you will see what I am talking about. I am reaching out to legal representation to see if it would be worth going to small claims court over this matter, and expect to be provided with the pertinent phone recordings from 8/12/22 if that is where we end up . If you insist that my policy is canceled in spite of recordings, I will insist that i be reimbursed the full amount of my policy. I will eat the $60 service fee for the refrigerator claim (provided I am reimbursed the entire amount I paid when I bought the policy).
Regarding my plumbing claim, in addition to the frustration of it being denied, I also had to deal with the following frustrations:
*first plumber you sent had no idea what a macerating toilet was
*second plumber assigned and the contact info you gave me was in Indiana (i am in virginia) and they said that they have asked you to stop doing that
When I was sold the policy I insisted on having the $75 termination fee waived, and the salesman agreed. That should be in my policy
Right now my refrigerator isn’t working. If my policy is canceled by you for no apparent reason, I will need that reimbursement to deal with refrigerator and the toilet you denied claim on.
