About See’s Candies, History and Headquarters Information
See’s Candies was founded in the year 1921. The company has been active for almost 88 years now. The founder of the company was Charles See. The first store of the company was established at 135 North Western Avenue in Los Angeles, California, United States. The company had 12 shops by the mid-1920s and operated thirty shops during the Great Depression as well. The company had opened its first while and black coloured all-porcelain store in the year 1941. In the year 1972, the company was sold off to Berkshire Hathaway, for almost $25 million. The same year, Blue Chip obtained a controlling interest in See’s Candy Shops and later acquired 100 per cent of the company for an amount of $25 million. In the year 2012, the company had made its name into the Guinness Book of World Records, for selling the world’s largest lollipop, weighing over 7,000 pounds. The headquarters of the company is based in 20600 South Alameda Street. The name of the place is Carson, while the name of the state is California, United States. The pin code is 90810.
See’s Candies is an American company that focuses on providing various kinds of candies and chocolates, manufactured by the company itself. The current CEO of the company is Pat Egan. As of the year 2016, the total sales revenue generated by the company is more than $410 million. Also, the number of employees working at the company is more than 1,500 all-year and more than 6000 seasonal.
The primary services provided by the company include allowing customers to purchase various kinds of candies and chocolates, that are produced, marketed and sold by the company itself.
In April you closed the store on Davis Street in San Leandro, California. It was ALWAYS a busy place and I do not know your reasons. My complaint is that the stores closest to the area are both 20-30 minutes away. The one in Alameda, you need to walk almost two blocks into the area of the outdoor mall. The one in Castro Valley is in a very congested strip mall and difficult to find a parking spot.
Whoever made the decision to close the Davis Street store made a HUGE mistake. The store front has not been leased or rented.
Are your plans to open another store in San Leandro???? It is needed, believe me.
When will See’s repair its faulty billing system on its web site? Been busted for years.
When will See’s come out with Peppermint Bark?

I have the need to comment about the exceptional customer service I received by your employee named Mila at the Woodburn Company Outlet Store in Woodburn, OR. She took the time to ask me how my day was going and she genuinely was interested in making me feel worthy of buying a box of chocolates. It made what started out to be a hard day a memorable one which I will never forget. I just wanted someone to know how your kind employee (and her boss, Mindy Jill) changed the course of my day!
What happened to the see’s candy store in Queen Creek, AZ? We want this to become a permanent shop!
From Savannah GA traveling West I always bring heat-tolerant Sees lollipops home. Coworkers LOVE them!!! We NEED non-melting lollipops here in hostess city. And peanut butter or peach flavors.
Unethical Sales Practice at Montebello Mall Store.
A sale rep tried to cheat me by going far over-weight on my order. I asked for 2 lbs, he said “that type is heavier, so should I fill the spaces?” I said okay. He over filled a 2 lb box. I noticed before he sealed the box, since he was having trouble with the cover fitting. I asked him how much the overflowing box weighed, he called me over to the scale, it was 2.83 lbs. I had him correct it to 2 lbs. I informed him that sales practice is unethical (cheating).
Since your employees behavior is determined by your corporate culture, I blame management. That store manager’s duty is to train and monitor the performance and behavior of their employees. I expect you will council that manager to discipline that employee. I will advise as many people as a can, in my local chamber, that this business practice is happening at that store. It is unfortunate that See’s Corporate would condone such practice.

It seems too me that your afraid of getti.g too large from the most wonderful chocolate there is so the it easy give yourself a break breaK off a piece of that lollipop you enjoy a day chocolate it’s cool!
Today I was very disappointed in the horrible customer service at your Irvine, CA shop. I placed my order but I needed to get something out of my car before I paid for the candy. The order was for over $60. When I got back to the shop the clerk who had helped me was gone. The other clerk informed me that I had “taken too long and he left”. What? She was rude during the transaction and never expressed thanks for the purchase. I should have just walked away and not bought anything but the candy was a birthday gift. My family has been buying candy at See’s since the 1940ies when my Dad would go out of his way to buy See’s. The prices have gone up a lot in the past few years but I have found it worth the price. But if buying See’s also means being abused by the clerks then “no” it’s not worth it at any price!
for the first time, because of the weather and my age (86), I decided to use e-mail for sending my grandson, his wife and our three great grandchildren their 2 lb. box of see’s. We started this tradition of sending them see’s candies 5 years ago. It’s been a delight…last week I called them to see how they enjoyed the gift. Imagine my dismay when they said they thought we had forgotten! I called and got an e-mail from your company…the order had been cancelled because of an error. I am very angry and disappointed that you didn’t have the decency or compassion to e-mail me and let me know I would have to re-order. I didn’t hear a word from you until I called. We’ve grown up with See’s as the best…it still is, but it seems you have lost the human family touch. through your thoughtlessness you have caused dismay and broken some children’s hearts. I would appreciate an answer
i have purchased See’s Candies for over thirty five (35) years. This year I bought 3 pounds at over $25/pound. At the Kent, WA store there were 4 clerks… ALL behind the counter. No one else in the store. From a far, one asked if I needed help and proceeded to tell me which area the cream and nuts/chews were. The others were far more concerned about the mask they were wearing than the chocolates they should’ve been selling. Opened chocolates Christmas morning.. one 2# box nuts/chews (that’s ok) the other 1# box nuts/chews. Not ok… was suppose to be creams. In addition, chocolates are hard and not fresh. In my opinion, this is not acceptable for the chocolate company you claim to be. As a purchaser, I don’t ask for much but when spending over $80 for this product, I hope to get good service and fresh product. So disappointed.
I just tried to order gifts for Xmas. I was denied. I checked my bank. I had more than enough to cover the order and the Bank of the West was not blocking the order. Sees customer service told me to contact finance@sees.com. This only brought up the same window I’d already used to contact both my store and customer service. I’d appreciate knowing how to clear up this problem.
Been buying sees chocolate for over 25 years spent thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars over that time. And have a very disturbing complaint placed an order on December 5 for a large amount of chocolate for Christmas presents for this year and not receiving the delivery my son made phone calls to find out what happened already be told that the order was canceled on See’s financial department .If my son would not of made the call I would’ve expected that package to come down the driveway because there’s no word from Sees candy that my order was canceled …upon calling customer service at 800-347-7337 there has been absolutely no return from what they tell me they would take care of the situation. Sees candy has totally let me down and thank God there’s other chocolatiers that would love my business…
I bought 20 Christmas tree chocolate cover marshmallows at See’s candy store in fashion valley Mall San Diego I had to eat one because I love them so I was very disappointed because the marshmallow didn’t look or taste fresh when did you make them❓
