Safe Harbor Portsmouth RI NEB beautiful marina. Unfortunately this marina has the worst customer service.
My name is Mike Willoughby. I am at safe Harbor Marina in Fort Pierce Florida. I just wanted to say that this Marina has the best staff I have ever had the privilege of knowing. They bend over backwards to make all the boaters here feel welcome, safe and comfortable. The staff here is like family to me. They genuinely care about our comfort and wellbeing. Whatever they are being paid for their services I’m sure is not enough.
THANK YOU,
Mike Willoughby

Burnt Store Marina Management,
We are writing to request that we be advised in advance of any movement of our boat during the boat recovery process following Hurricane Ian. We will be out of town October 15-18. We do not authorize the movement of our boat unless we, or our designated representatives Jean Levine or Jeff Grossman, are present.
We have been very disappointed in the fact that we have received NO communication to date via email, text or phone from anyone at Safe Harbor Marina/Burnt Store Marina (BSM), Punta Gorda concerning hurricane preparations prior to or the recovery efforts following the storm. We have made multiple visits to the marina office and have receive little to no information from the staff. During each visit, we have impressed upon them the need for communication to no avail.
Our Lagoon 42 (Sybaris/Gone Again – slip C1), is currently half on the seawall due the structural failure of the floating dock system. This boat is more than a hobby; it is an integral part of our business and our livelihood. We have already lost valuable time and continue to lose business every day. It is of utmost importance that progress is made to recover all of the boats involved.
With the approval of the staff at BSM, we have done our best to patch the cracks in the hull but are concerned that moving the boat could cause further damage resulting in her taking on water and being unseaworthy. We MUST be advised prior to it being moved off of the seawall and into the water.
We do not authorize the movement of our boat unless we, or our designated representatives Jean Levine or Jeff Grossman, are present.

The Safe Harbor yard at 500 Beach Rd., Greenport, NY, did an unbelievably horrendous job on the bottom of my boat and effectively ruined what could be my last summer of sailing. They did not use the paint that I gave them and charged me for applying two coats of a hard “racing” finish that is far rougher that the non-skid on my deck. It is like 40 grit sandpaper. They launched the boat that way, so it cannot be burnished. I am a stage 4 cancer patient who sold my successful ocean racer and bought a smaller boat that I thought would be easier to handle and then to sell when the time came. The yard told me that it was illegal for me to do my own bottom, and I was in no condition to do it, anyway. I assumed they knew what they were doing. But they apparently applied a hard, burnish-able paint on a hot dry day with a roller and without tipping it with a brush — and of course without burnishing it. Then they launched it that way. I did not realize how bad a job they did until the day before my first race of the season a few weeks ago — late in the season because I had been recovering from intensive radiation and chemo treatments. I went to clean the bottom and immediately realized it would be a waste of time. The slime at least made the bottom a little slicker than the non-skid surface they had put on my hull. The next day we raced anyway but had no great expectations. We were slower than everyone from the start, despite being scratch boat, but made a great move on the first leg and put most of our class nearly a mile behind by the first mark. From there it was a long reach to the last mark. But it was a 5 hour race. A tenth of a knot is half a mile in that time. A 1/4 knot is 1.25 miles. By the time we began our last leg, our class had caught us and before long had all passed us. We withdrew and withdrew from other races for which we had registered. Thus ends what could be my last season. Thanks, Safe Harbor Greenport. You are the worst yard imaginable.
My name is Carolyn Jensen and I have a slip at Safe Harbor harborage marina in Stuart Florida. when this Marina switched from OnSpot to Beacon internet service the internet streaming service became so poor and slow. I never had a problem with any of my streaming services with On Spot. If I call Bacon they try to upgrade me to a paying service. This is unacceptable. When all the snowbirds come back
the service will even get slower. today there is no service because the service is down again.
I ask you to please do something about this poor service with Beacon. The other problem I have is the parking. The contractors are parking in front of the marina. They have assigned parking South of the South Marina. When I complained to the front office Marina they said it is on their agenda to fix And yet today I had to park a quarter of a mile away from the Marina office and then walk 1/5 of a mile to my boat. All they have to do is put a sign where the contractors pick up their permit to park their truck with a sign that says You must park south of the south marina in the assigned parking lot if not you will be towed.
Thank you, Carolyn Jensen
