About Rockstar Games, History and Headquarters Information
Rockstar Games was incorporated by Donovan and King in 1998. It started as a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, and as a successor to BMG Interactive. By 2014, its titles successfully sold more than 250 million copies. In 2014, Rockstar Games was bestowed upon the BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award. In 2019, they launched their own game launcher, communications service, multiplayer, a digital distribution, and digital rights management.
Rockstar Games is a multinational company that develops video games such as Red Dead, L.A. Noire, Midnight Club, The Warriors, Bully, State of Emergency, Manhunt, Grand Theft Auto, and Max Payne. Rockstar Games made its own game engine called the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE) in order to make it compatible with the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows, Mac, and Wii systems. In addition to the Rockstar Games Social Club, they also created an online gaming service. It owns and handles 8 studios and an international publishing subsidiary.
