About Retro Fitness, History and Headquarters Information

            Retro Fitness was founded in 2004 by Eric Casaburi. The founder worked in a local gym during his teenages which kindled the passion for Retro Fitness. They mainly operate gyms. Every Retro fitness gym is equipped with 60 - 100 equipments. They are mainly for cardio workouts, circuit training and other everyday fitness equipments.There are over 155 gyms operating in 16 states of the US.

            The company began its journey with the motto of “More Fitness Less money.” Apart from gym operations, the company also offers group exercises and classes for fitness routine.Their main operations are under 3 categories namely classes, training and club.

Retro Fitness offers dance classes, zumba, cardio classes and yoga. They also provide one - on - one training. Their training programs are heart rate monitored and therefore are safe for any age.Their clubs are grouped based on customer locations. The company offers free passes to new customers.

    I joined Retro Fitness, and I paid for my membership in Full (CASH); however, my gym location is permanently closed (Durham, North Carolina) . I have made NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS to get my refund? I was only able to use the gym for about 1 month before it was closed down due to COVID 19. The gym owner continues to ignore me. How can a business be okay with this behavior? I do not care that each location is individually owned and operated. That is just an attempt to pass accountability around. Do the right thing and GET ME MY REFUND!

    I am having the same issue of I canceled my membership and my credit card is still being charged and they refuse to refund me or stop the payments. Can somoene please reach out to me. Brooklyn Park Slope location. This is fraud. Please help.

    Trying to get thru to corporate office get a recording of a man that should not be the voice of a gym should be upbeat anyway every prompt you press either you get a voicemail or a full mailbox this is unacceptable

    I had a membership at the Freeport, NY location. Before I moved -three years ago- I paid a $ 40.oo cancelation fee.
    Never charged me again and it was all good.
    Now my credit history is compromised because this business DID NOT CLOSE MY CASE. NEGLIGENTLY THEY PASSED MY INFORMATION TO A COLLECTION AGENCY BILLING ME HUNDRES OF DOLLARS FOR UNFOUNDED REASONS ANS HURTING MY CREDIT.

    Fix this NOW.

    I’ve been a member of retro Fitness of for almost 14 years and have been using childcare for the past 5 years everyday except Sundays at the fairless hills location. Since new ownership has come in they are taking a HUGE chunk out of childcare which is making it hard for some including myself. We always had the same hours until December when they are cutting back to 9am-11 and 6pm-8. Why are they screwing with something that’s been great for so long?

    I’ve been a member at this location for about 2 years (before COVID) and I think the front desk is great! Super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately you can tell the place is slowly falling apart. Maybe it’s the way it’s ran or maybe it’s a post COVID thing I don’t know but machines are broken every other day, it’s not as clean as it used to be, it’s just not the same anymore. The owner Dina has been seen in her office and in the Garage with a Member and she racist too and she treats her staff with no respect.

    I need to know how come retro fitness nor your website has not written anything about the virus and how are things going to change a the gym locations. (if you will be having cleaning staff at all times while operating hours location I go to 4am – 11pm)

    HORRIBLE!!! Joined in 12/23/19, accepted a job in another state on 12/23/19. Tried to cancel my membership on 01/01/20. I’m still waiting for a refund on Personal Training AND I was told I will still be charged for January. WTF?

    Hello I go to retro fitness in st clair shores Michigan and for one they’re always late in the morning like today I’m sitting home this happens all the time and they have like 5 treadmills down and machine weights and manager told us the owners will not fix them. And because of this ten members are all leaving to go to anytime fitness everybody is fed up with this it’s a shame because we like a family st clair shores gym owners are dead beats

    Terrible company! Corporate has not to this day called me to resolve an issue I had now a month ago! I never once even received a call back from them. Never once in my life has a corporate office not returned my call, yet alone not resolve an issue! Absolutely disgraceful and very unprofessional. An absolutely terrible company who you cannot trust, take my word. Very curious to know how a corporate office can get away with not resolving issues! Horrible horrible company.

I THOUGHT I NEEDED A TRAINER THAT CAN HELP ME THROUGH MY PROCESS, OK A SIGN UP FOR A TRAINER COME TO REALIZE I CAN’T AFFORD IT BECAUSE OF MY FINANCIAL SITUATIONS.
