We stayed 1 night (October 7-8) at the Quality Inn & Suites
6467 Sterrettania Road, Fairview, PA, in room #172.
The below grade/basement motel room had improper use of indoor extension cords (multiples, run under carpet, plugged into 3 plug) to electrify 2 wall lights/clock radio/microwave and refrigerator. We needed the fridge and completely unplugged the rest.
We also had no heat and the room ceiling had black mold.
The Fairview Fire Department and this motel have been notified of these safety concerns prior to this message to you.
We stayed at QIAS in Muskegon, MI on 7/13/2023 for two nights as it was a recommended hotel by Michigan Adventure. About 230am, there was someone banging and kicking our door for about two hours. The person seemed so angry that I would not even think about opening up the door. I called the front desk to inform them of this and they did come and check it out. I still heard a great deal of noise afterwards and called once again. The person that answered the phone said that it was someone who forgot what room they were in. Who makes such a commotion at this time of night to warrant trying to find their room. It was very, very scary. It sounded like they were going to break the door in. The next day, I mentioned it again to the clerk at the check in counter. She said she would look at the footage, speak with her manager and get back with us. I never heard back from the manager or was there any compensation offered. The next day, I went to my car to obtain something, and the hallway was reeking of pot and two rooms had their windows open and people hanging out of them smoking. Wow… Would never stay there again! Such a disturbing experience trying to take your grandson for a great vacation.
I had to check out early from your Muskegon Location. because of an emergency, upon check out the front desk clerk accidentally charged me an “early check out fee” of $645.17, when she was supposed to refund me the one night i would NOT be staying. i was assured by management this would be fixed as it wasn’t supposed to happen. at this point – the hotel has charged me TWICE the amount of $645.17 and not refunded the original amount. they keep claiming this is how the return the deposit but just keep charging my card with out permission. The funds were finally returned on 6/30 – but then today I woke up to a THIRD charge of $645.17 on 7/4/23 – which has now overdrafted my bank account. THIS IS FRAUD AND THEFT AND THIS LOCATION SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE PEOPLES INFORMATION ON FILE. I have filed with BBB, Expedia and will have to file a 3rd time with my bank.
I just stayed at Quality Inn in Springfield, Ohio. Worst experience beginning to end. Here too the atmosphere was not welcoming horrible customer service. I didn’t have running hot water in my room, nor clean wash cloths. The remote didn’t work, and after I cleaned the room he finally offered to change it. I have been traveling for years and this is one of the worst experience I have ever had. When I asked the rude guy behind the desk, so how did the bathroom sink get cleaned without hot water, he stated “I don’t know, that’s why I offered to change your room”. I will never stay at another Quality Inn again! The owner only cared about getting paid not my inconvenience. I will be adding this review to other social media outlets to let people know to stay away from all Choice Hotels as well as Quality Inn’s. Of course, they didn’t have a corporate office to report this situation to so it can be resolved. I was told to contact Choice to speak with the owner in Springfield.
My wife & I had a reservation at Quality Inn @ 4200 South Nolan’s Road Independence MO Dec. 31, 2022. The condition of the room was deplorable, not only unclean, the bathroom had visible mold on tub & wall and brown-colored water from the shower. Yes, the water from the shower was the color of tea, thus impossible to shower. The beds were disgusting. The woman at the desk was constantly eating during the check in process, generally rude behavior.
After driving all day, we were too tired to explore alternatives hotels but this experience was completely unacceptable. The Quality Inn brand should immediately be revoked at this location. In the past, a Choice hotel, meant it was a suitable site when traveling, so we were shocked by the facility disrepair, unprofessional staff and room condition. Note: we did not complain on-site, because the staff was rude and she mentioned the hotel was sold out, or we would have insisted on a different room, in hopes of an improvement. I have pictures of the horrid conditions.
Given our extreme dissatisfaction, I’m requesting a full refund. Your swift attention on this matter is appreciated.
The quality Inn corporation, I am writing to you concerning a reservation that I had at the quality Inn hotel in Winder Georgia. I was to check into the hotel on 21 December and check out of the hotel on 24 December. On December 5th I ended up at the emergency room of the hospital Baylor Scott and White located in Dallas Texas, I was diagnosed with having upper respiratory flu which I believe they call RSV, this virus completely incapacitated me and forced me to cancel all of my Christmas travel plans. On or about December 8th I called your hotel in Winder Georgia and ask them to please cancel my reservation and why I was having to cancel it the clerk that I talk to said she would pass the message on to a supervisor and they would get back with me. Two days later I called the hotel again and the clerk that I talk to then informed me that they do not except any cancellations for any reason and could not return my money, I asked to speak to a supervisor to see if they couldn’t reconsider and no one was available at that time the clerk told me that a supervisor name Michelle would be in the following day and a time to call her which I did, Michelle informed me that she was not the supervisor and she couldn’t do anything to address my problem I ask her then who could approve my request and she gave me the name of a supervisor Mr Asbisa, I have since called back twice trying to get this gentleman and I have been unable to reach him he’s always going to be in later or the next day. I am a 73-year-old retire widower and $319.11 while not a great deal of money does impact me. I find myself in the unenviable position of spending Christmas by myself this year and being extremely sick on top of it and losing my deposit. I can provide you with the documentation of my emergency room visit and the doctors findings there. I am not ordinarily complaining person and I don’t know if you can do anything that can help me with this, but I appreciate your attention to this and hope that I hear back from you. We just stayed at Quality Inn in Meridian Idaho. We travel quite a bit and this was the worst front desk experience we have had. The personnel were very unfriendly and abrupt. The atmosphere not welcoming – were made to feel that we were a imposing. will not be staying there again Perhaps someone can retrain staff on public service and taking ownership for their caring about Quality Inn experiences.
