Why was a handball called by VAR review on Emmanuel Reynoso in the second half of last night’s game at San Jose?

The IFAB Laws of the Game are fairly clear on what constitutes a handball offense:

“It is an offence if a player:
deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, for example moving the hand/arm towards the ball
touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised.”

This rule is not being enforced in an objective, consistent, and non- discriminatory way by MLS officials.

There is way too much subjectivity involved in some of these decisions, including stoppage time at the end of games.

These decisions are really negatively impacting the quality of MLS games. Please clean this up in the future.

The Atlanta United vs Toronto FC game on 10/30/21 was a travesty. Atlanta’s 2nd goal was ruled offside and yet Toronto’s equaliser was allowed to stand. I’ve watched every replay I can find, including social media posts from fans, and I simply can’t understand why Toronto’s goal counts. This level of officiating has to be an embarrassment for the league.

How do I correct misleading information for my house. You are showing a sale that never happened. The square ft. and number of rooms is also misleading.I was advised to contact you by a professional to correct this detrimental information

I just watched the highlight of the penalty kick play that was awarded to Vancouver Whitecaps at the end of the game against Minnesota United last night. That was a terrible call by the referee. The Vancouver player was behind the Minnesota player and reached out to grab the Minnesota player taking both of them down. A penalty kick should not have been awarded in that situation. Why was a VAR review not done in that situation? This is doubly egregious – a terrible call by the referee and then absolutely no oversight by the VAR review team in New York.
