I was working with salesman Gustavo and sales manager Terry.
I was sent window sticker on truck we were interested in. MSRP includes destination charges. However, when I received the price quote there was another destination charge and an 899.00 processing fee.
Plus, the sales price was not the same as advertised. Fine print stated that they can change the price at anytime.
Was told the EXTRA destination charge was because I wasn’t buying the truck at MSRP. RAM was advertising up to 5 K off in stock vehicles.
I wasted a day on this dealership and their dishonesty and fraudulent sales , advertising and pricing strategy.
A class action suit should be opened on this dealership and its practices. I will be reaching out to the attorney general with copies of all the paperwork I have.
Koons Easton, worst experience ever. 6.5 hours to purchase a certified used Tundra. Paperwork was done in an hour, rest of thebtime spent getting issues worked out on truck. Then had to go back following Saturday and when i show up at 7AM, they tell me my appointment is at 10. And i confirmed with my salesman prior it was 7am. Dealer is an hour away. Now second key they gave me does not work.
Email me, i will givebyou all the details…abg10042000@yahoo.com
Please skip this dealer.

I have been trying To find a owner or HQ. I took my car to Koons Kia in Woodbridge. 1140.00 later my car still acts as if it wants to cut off. Not to mention got an oil change and then my light comes on to find out it was empty it took 3 qt and still was full. I’m displeased with the service and the shady Repairs.
Koons Ford security Blvd. My business Metallic Maniac is almost dead because of this company and it’s slick dealer tactics. Price changes and duress type permission. Nothing professional or quick just slow fleecing. Soaking the customer with dealer gobbly gook. And ducking customer calls. Seriously 😒 unprofessional. To the point I’m told my part is obsolete to ford. So dealer is getting a part but will be a used junkyard part. I couldn’t get away with that. But that’s what they’re selling me. At over 400% markup. But dealer couldn’t get it. False information and misinformation over 30 to 40 days I get the part and two or three days as I could have when this started if they had it taken my calls. I called for the service manager. I called for the parts manager. I called for the general manager. And no calls returned or taken. And last giving me misinformation and forcing me into more waiting on something they couldn’t produce. And ultimately I had to produce myself. I am self-employed and I’ve been starving to death for the last 2 weeks. Koons Ford has my truck won’t fix it I provide them the part and their snail pace looking at it is all they’re willing to do. When after 30 to 40 days and me providing my own part they should be on my vehicle ASAP with all hands on deck to get me out of there ASAP seriously. Good service is hard to find and even harder to find under the dealerships. Truly bad service and it ain’t over yet. Pray for me I really do need it. I would give koons forward zero Stars. It’s amazing how these corporations continue to pray on innocent communities.
Went To Koons In Culpeper to Check out a 14 Silverado 1500 work truck. The truck had been sitting on the lot for a while cause I seen it around Memorial Day. Fast Forward to 9/8/22 I come by and Chris pulls the truck up. Dirty truck, like you didn’t have enough time to clean it when you knew I was coming in… No gas in the truck….. Drove around and I told Chris that I already had been approved by my bank…. He keeps asking why don’t you go through us I can get you a better rate. Vehicle drove good but here’s when things get bad, we get back to the dealership and I tell Chris I need some time to think about it, I had asked him about the price on the test drive since there was never a price listed. He couldn’t give me an actual price. He kept howling me down about coming in and seeing what the numbers looked like. 3 things! How can I see what the numbers look like when you guise don’t have an accurate price on the truck.Wanted a buyers order to show my bank and was told no! Instead of using all that energy by blowing my phone up trying to get me to buy it. Take the time to get the truck showroom ready…. Highly disappointed
This is a new Ford escape 2021 bought new with at least 5 recalls that I can’t get serviced.
LaverneVAyers-Smith koons Security Blvd MD. Call back information not recognized or available by shop technicians. There happens to be at least 5 but no one can tell me when I can have my vehicle serviced.
My truck has been there over 30 days or more and they won’t take any of my calls the managers refuse to take my calls I’m calling all day getting nothing but voicemails being lied to being stalled and told trust the process but there is no process. Definitely a joke this is not a professional business it’s more like extortion or duress.
Just spent 42000 on a tundra salesman gave me one key he said Koons only received one key from the seller said he asked his manager about another key and they gave some bs about COVID and shortages you can’t make me believe they don’t have plenty of keys I’ve purchased 7 vehicles from Koons over the years you would think vehicle the sell would be supplied with 2 keys
Hey Krystal wow me and send me another key
The Koons Chevy Clarksville website is advertising a GM rebate of $50.00 with purchase of 4 tires, when purchased by APRIL 29, 2022. I purchased 4 tires from you 2 days ago, then contacted the Tire Rebate Ctr your store referred me to. GM tells me they have no such offer in April, only March. The Koons website says 4-29-22. You owe me $50.00 for false advertising. When shall I expect my refund?
See invoice# C48739.
Buyer Beware! I was lied to about Carfax. Was told several times Carfax was clear only to find out the vehicle has been involved in two previous accidents. Went back next morning to confront them about accidents discovered and cancel contract, was told NO because their contract states “ZERO Cooling Off Period”. That is a shady practice in itself. They tried to justify that the 2 prior accidents to the car were only external not internal. Doesn’t matter!! Note: I have timed and dated proof of AutoCheck from that next morning. I unfortunately failed to notice obvious overspray and shotty previous repairs. Plus I had to take the vehicle to Service Center for reverse and fog light wiring repairs plus a new battery just days after purchase. Not sure how the vehicle passed inspection just 4 months prior by Express Auto Service which is right next door to Koons Automotive of Fredericksburg South! Very sketchy. Dealership had to jump start so I could even drive it off the lot. My advise ASK for both CarFax and Experian AutoCheck reports, both show facts differently. Cover your bases. BEWARE of hidden costs and disclaimers in reference to warranty/warranties! I was charged $4,700.00 for pre-owned certified which should have been included in sales price. This car is a damaged leased reject from NY/NJ. If you’ve never heard of “Bait and Switch” and “Price Gouging” get familiar, both happen to me!! $10,600 for trade then Koons added that back into the contract price!! $46,660.00 is outrageous for a 2018 Toyota Rav4 that has been wrecked twice, that is price gouging! I am also positive credit application was manipulated since I only get SSDI but no one will tell me any info or disclose the credit application to me. Take someone with you, they easily took advantage of this old lady. I’m so upset I was naive enough to let this happen to me and these people could care less!! Took them 3 weeks to get me the check for my partial trade value. Koons Corporate Office and Beth Kerr never returned my calls. Koons used to be a very trusted name/dealership, not anymore! Monopoly game piece they used to lure folks in, which they said I won $5,000, was crumbled up in trash when I left, it’s just a ploy! Never rec’d $5,000 they said I won of course. The dealership will respond, nothing makes up for the lies and mug job!! (Check Yelp/other site reviews as well beforehand) EDITED for Google reply: Koons Automotive of Fredericksburg So. “Many” hours of your time, 1st pymnt and handing me check owed for my trade in will never make up for lying to me especially about the AutoCheck/CarFax.
What a shame (sham) that even though we already had our financing, check in hand from our bank, we were told we had to fill out the financing paperwork. We balked at giving out our SS# and we’re treated rudely- like we were being difficult. We walked! Felt quite shady!

Why was my negative experience/review deleted?

Purchased SUV in April 2021, needed repair in Oct 2021. Dealership had my truck 2 months. Part delayed due to Covid is what I was told. First loaner had a huge dent on the side from an accident. Later told that the suv should have been taken out of service. They tried to put me in a second loaner and it smelled like weed and I refused. Continued to drive the damaged suv due to they didn’t have anything else. Was called after Christmas to come and pick up my truck. It’s been fixed. I drive off and hit the highway and I’m being flagged down by other drivers that my truck is on fire. I look back and smoke is billowing from the back of the truck and I’m scared out of my mind. I pull over on a 3 lane highway with cars driving by, jump out of the truck and walk away from it in case it explodes. I look under the truck from a distance and I see fluids pouring from under the truck. I call the dealership back on my Apple Watch that ONLY had 14% because I forgot my phone at home and asked my service person who is an angle David Bell (angle #1) to send someone to help me because I’m afraid to drive this back to the dealership. He has a tow truck come and tow me back to the dealership and my second angle Mister (angle #2) slides under the truck as soon as I enter the service bay with David who isn’t dressed for something like this and they determine that the part is defective. Mister puts my suv on a lift and shows me the problem and explains it has to be reordered it can’t be repaired. I’m upset but ok, David puts me a better loaner and off I go! They next day I return to the dealership to speak with Kelvin the service manager about perhaps getting a partial refund due to all of the inconvenience and he was so rude, dismissive and condescending to me. His first words were that he wasn’t going to refund any of my money and there is a big difference between being on fire and my truck smoking. My response to him was typically where there is smoke there is fire and what person wouldn’t panic in this situation. I was getting no where with this idiot so I called the general manager and received his admins voicemail. Never received a call back but instead they had the director of service Al Garcia call me and when I informed him how rude Kelvin was and that I wanted a refund and I regret ever buying from this dealership because of their lack of customer service he just tells me to email him if I have any questions regarding my repair. Wow what a great service director. So after paying it $200 extended warranty fee, oil changes and fluid change that was suggested I paid almost $900 and I still don’t have my truck and I’ve been treated like crap. Let me remind you that I haven’t had this truck very long, spent almost $50,000 on it and I’m being treated like this. I get a call from David that my truck is finally ready in Jan now. I take off from work because I want to be in the truck when it’s taken on an extended test drive this time. John Lawrence angle #3 is the person who is going to do the extended test drive. While he is doing the test drive I sit in the passenger seat which I never do and see a bubble on my touch screen in my truck. I bring it to Johns attention and he acknowledges it. After the test drive we return to see David and I explain to him something is wrong w my radio touch screen. John confirms that it’s delaminating and that they will have to order another one and have it put in. I schedule that repair due to it was caught while doing the test drive and I have witnesses. I will never return to Koons Tyson’s Jeep ever again! I will be taking my vehicle where I can be treated respectfully for oil changes and any other services. This is the second purchase from this dealership and if I knew dealing with the service manager and service director was going to be like this I wouldn’t have purchased another suv from there. Run don’t walk from this dealership.
I have a 2018 Kia Soul that i purchased in November 2018 from Thompson Toyota. On November 9, 2021 the engine failed and I’ve been living a nightmare since. The car was still under warranty however, waiting for the replacement engine has been six weeks and counting. I have called Kia Corporate, Zurich ( wrote the warranty ), and Koons Kia of Reisterstown with no resolve. I have ask if Koons has a loaner car and have been told the dealership no longer offers loaners. Kia’s response is once my car has been repaired I can put in a claim to request reimbursement for travel expense. My only response is Really? So im supposed to keep up my car payments, maintain the insurance on a car that is sitting unused and pay for a car rental out of pocket until my car is fixed? All I’ve gotten is a bunch of hand wringing and finger-pointing between each company. I know Im not the only Kia customer that is dealing with an engine failure but, how long im i supposed to wait? I hope Kia is sued for selling total garbage to people!
Koons of Culpeper, VA are selling vehicles that have no inspection, mechanical issues, can’t pass state inspection, broken interior part (ie: radio, excedra), make you sign paperwork for a vehicle before you can even take it do to state inspection needed, windows need fixed do to someone breaking into them. The Culpeper, VA location management needs to be looked into and/or investigated for shady deals as well as selling vehicles that shouldn’t even be on the lot.
Had similar experience with Koons Automotive of Fredericksburg South. They are selling previous wrecked leases from NY/NJ. Something definitely fishy going on. With me they also lied about Carfax/AutoCheck. Good luck to you!
Koons of Culpeper, Koons of Fredericksburg South and Koons of Woodridge seem to be a trio deal working together. I had a very bad experience Nov 5, 2021 with the one in Fredericksburg South but have both the other locations on my paperwork as well. My vehicle had wiring issues and not sure how Express Auto Service next door to Koons even passed it. Shady as hell.
Having problems with your Tyson corner jeep staff after buying a new car. Service is awful. No one will return calls including when I asked to file a complaint. My next stop is an attorney and tv station.
Yes my son just purchased a jeep…. The driver window is scratched and the driver door has issues they are very nasty and giving him the run around!!! They are some shot after they get your money!!!!
What was the outcome?
Will never patronize a Koons dealership again bc of horrible, deceptive financial practuces at Koons Lexus of Wilmington. Still waiting on a $5000.00 refund check from March. Wouldn’t even respond to Lexus Corp office bc independent franchise.
Worst service ever
Part 2. Continuation of my statement, after purchasing a unsafe car from Koons Jeep, Dodge Ram in Vienna VA, I could not get the car that I traded in back, once again I had to settle for a car from their dealership, because I could not get my car back, they sold me a second vehicle, which was not a truck, and it said it was suppose to have a second key, even though the salesman told me there was a second key, then I found out that the key for the vehicle had a broken key fob, with no key in the fob, and the manager told me to go and buy my own key and they would refund me. This dealership is very poor in customer services, I mention my concerns to Sam Wahezi and the response was less than what a customer deserves. This is a billion dollar business that gives very poor service. I see Krystal Koons in television smiling and advertising Koons dealership, but Koons does not live up to their advertisement.
Went to Koons Jeep, Dodge Ram Dealership in Tyson Corner 2000 Chain Bridge Rd, Vienna, VA, I would not recommend, that dealership to anyone, I wanted to purchase a truck, I traded in my 2011 Mercedes Benz, for a Dodge Ram truck, I noticed the first thing they want to give you is a document that states we don’t owe you anything, they sold me the truck, it is a good thing it was raining that day, I bought the truck, but after I left the dealership and turned on the drivers wipers was stripped, I had to turn around and go right back to the dealership. Complaint number 2. As I was driving I notice the inspection sticker looked like it was going to expire on 5/30/21, I purchased the truck on 5/7/21, to my surprise I was looking at the sticker from inside the truck, they sold me a truck with a dead inspection sticker. The actual inspection sticker expired on 02/28/21, they actual sold me a truck with an expired inspection sticker. I had to turned the truck back in because it was not a good truck. This Koons is not what they advertise. More to come.
Went to Koons of White Marsh Maryland last week and test drove a white 2020 XC40 with 3k miles on it. After hours of sitting in the dealership and telling the car salesman exactly want I was willing to offer they took me back to the finance department and said so this is the actual cost of the vehicle. After 3 hours of waiting and describing in detail of what I was looking for I left with no car- fast forward to Sunday I saw online, Car Guru’s, that the exact same XC40 model that was also on their lot reduced in price to $33,500. The online sales man named Kevin called me Monday morning and left a voicemail stating all the information including the price, milage, and exact color of the car. I then called him back to follow up I was ready to purchase that car today when he said oh I’m sorry this is the wrong information. He stated even though it says the price of $33,500 online, and I stated that in the voicemail I left for you we will not honor that price. The acutal price is $39,500 and because it was a service loaner car you are not eligable for any 0.99% finacning or rebates on this car. VERY VERY disappionsted with my Koons experience. Worst experience I have had with a dealership and or customer service team in a long time- and I am a nurse so I understand the importance of customer service!
Sales man done with you as soon as sign for truck. Didn’t even show me truck or how to work electric start. And no number to call to make a complaint.
Yes, after they get your money, you no longer exist.
I believe that using the innocent enthusiasm of kids to advertise a product is completely inappropriate and would make me avoid your dealerships were I in the market for a car.
