Susan Schaeffler is the current Chief Executive officer of KIPP DC since July 2001. Serving KIPP for more than 20 years, Susan has experience of nine years, serving as a teacher in Teach For America (TFA), where she bagged Teacher of the Year recognition. She is a pass out from Colorado State University, where she earned Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies. She earned her Master’s Degree in Instrumental System Design from the University of Maryland.

About Kipp DC
History
KIPP was found in 1994 by Mike Feinberg and Dave Levin, who were fellow corps members in Teach For America (TFA). As of 2000, KIPP Foundation was co-initiated by Dave Levin, Mike Feinberg, and Doris, and Don Fisher, with the aim to help train the school leaders to expand KIPP by establishing more KIPP schools.
