About Keds, History and Headquarters Information
Keds were founded in 1916 by U.S Rubber which was acquired by Stride Rite Corporation. The shoes are famous for its soft rubber sole that is silent while walking around. This is the time when ‘Sneakers’ were born as they help in silently sneak around.
The American brand Keds produces canvas shoes with rubber soles. The company is owned by the Wolverine World Wide and has an official website that helps in selling the shoes for men, women, and kids. It is a popular brand with many years of experience in the American footwear industry.
There are various shoes, sandals, lace-up; heels, shoelaces, hats, socks, scarves, and many other items are available at the store. They are made of high-quality rubber with creative designs which makes this brand unique.
The Keds shoe has its headquarters in 500 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA, USA. The company has more outlets at malls and also has many collections at their online store.
In April of this year (2020) – I purchased multiple pairs of shoes from the Keds.com website. When I finally received them – it appeared that, although I’ve worn the same size shoe for the better part of 40 years, the size 7.5 shoes I purchased were significantly too big. In turn – in light of the pandemic – I opted to re-order in a size 7 – and then once the world opened up again, I was going to return the 7.5 shoes. I emailed Keds via their customer service link on the website multiple times – and was advised that a return label would be provided. When I received the size 7 shoes (same style as the first pair) – again, the shoes were significantly too big. In comparing the two different sized shoes – THEY ARE IDENTICAL IN SIZING. Again, I emailed the company via the website. I was sent a “form” email stating that someone would respond to me within 24-48 hours. It is now June 1st – I have YET to receive the return labels for the FIRST two pair which I requested a refund for. I am STILL waiting for a response to my second and third contact with the website regarding the second two pair. Since then – I have ordered similar shoes from another company – whose sizing is on point. So, with that – I will no longer be a repeat and GOOD customer – I am anticipating a FULL refund … eventually, for FOUR pair of MIS-SIZED shoes … and I will no longer recommend Keds shoes to anyone who might inquire. If this is the way you handle your customer service … kindly revisit your protocols. Highly unacceptable and very poor. Disappointing at best – been wearing keds since I was a kid.
Dear Ellen, I have had the same miserable issues with them. I returned 8 pairs of manufacturing defective shoes to the Waltham, MA office. They confirmed receiving them. Three years and no refund as promised. Their leadership has changed. I am out of 8x $54.95! How did yours resolve? Sizing plus other defects were a problem.
I placed an order on the Keds website
I will never buy another Keds product and planning to use all social media to voice. Y opinion
Three times I called customer service to inquire about the order placed. Each person was nastier than the other. I was told two different delivery dates and then found out I will not be receiving my order placed on 12/1 until 12/14. I would have been more than happy to pay for delivery if this was the delivery date I was given
Heading to social media now
Dear Judith, Please tell me how you resolved your issues. Advice needed!
