  • Chaplain Wanda Manning says:

We were in Montgomery, AL for a conference and stated in the Drury off I-85. My non-profit organization the Alabama Fellowship of Fire Chaplains was holding a fire chaplaincy training. I had to be there by 7:15am to help set up, greet attendees, and register and collect fees and applications. My disabled daughter was also with me and my husband. I needed to be up to get 3 of us ready, suitcases packed and loaded, and time to eat a good breakfast. I asked the front desk for a wake-up call. I did NOT get that wake up call! There were others we heard downstairs that did not get their wake up calls! The front desk gave the excuse that the phones must have gone to corporate!?

No! When front desk personnel tells me personally that I would be called for wake-up, that would not be corporate, especially when I dialed the front desk.

We rushed to get to our meeting! My husband said, I didn’t even have time to change my underwear! And I didn’t get a shower! We were late!

We were the last ones there as all attendees watched us push our wheelchaired daughter into the room! Such an embarrassment.

Very disappointed to not receive a simple request that I trusted would have been done. I was exhausted from the traveling and I knew I would need that wake-up call!!

    Unacceptable!
