Discover Financial Services was incorporated by Sears in union with real estate franchise Coldwell, Banker & Company and brokerage firm Dean Witter Reynolds in 1985 and is headquartered in Riverwoods, Illinois, United States. In 2007, Discover was launched as a public corporation.

Discover Financial Services is an American company that owns and operates Discover Bank and is known as one of the largest card issuers in the United States. Along with this, it also provides personal and student loans, home and home equity loans, online savings products, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts. In addition to all this, it owns and manages Discover Network, PULSE, which is one of the nation’s leading ATM/debit networks; and Diners Club International, a payment network that can be easily accessed in more than 185 countries and territories. Currently, there are more than 15,000 associates serving over eight million card members.
