About Danaher, History and Headquarters Information
Danaher Corporation was incorporated back in 1969. Formerly known as DMG, Inc., it started as Real Estate Investment Company. It is based in Washington, D.C., United States. In 1984, the company was given the name Danaher and was re-established as a Delaware corporation. In 1978, it was renamed to Diversified Mortgage Investors, Inc. By 1984, it started to widen its focus on manufacturing and started following and applying the Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement called kaizen. By the early 2000s, the company started incorporating leadership in varied markets such as water in 1998, product identification (2001), dental (2004), diagnostics (2006) and life sciences (2009).
