    October 12, 2023,
    Dear Coast Dental
My complaint is against Coast Dental on gladiolas in Fort Myers, Florida. This is the worst Dental Office I have ever been to.
My name is Sallie Snider-Wilson. I am 71 years old. I live at 16700 Ginger Lane #2 Fort Myers, Florida 33908.
So, I needed to get my teeth cleaned. I called my insurance company “United Health Care” with Dual Complete coverage. I received a referral to Coast Dental 11600 Gladiolus Drive Suite #A 102-103 Fort Myers, Florida 33908 Phone # 239-466-9454.
I went in with an appointment to see their dentist on April 3, 2023. When I got there, I was escorted back to get X-rays and seated in a dental chair. Woman #1 came in and started looking at my mouth. She looked all through my mouth and did some measurements on my gums. Then woman #2 came in and told me I had Periodontal disease. She said I had pockets that were #7deep! She also claimed there was a lot of blood from the first exam. (I had not seen any blood) Then she grabbed my right k-nine tooth and started to jerk my head back and forth by holding me by the tooth. She said “see! This tooth is loose!” When she let go, I yelled, “it’s not loose at all!” She said that the condition my gums/teeth were in, I could start losing teeth.
I got pretty upset as I take good care of my teeth. It had been a year since I had my teeth cleaned but I use an electric toothbrush, I floss, and I used twizzlers. I asked her to just clean my teeth and I would think about the periodontal comments. She told me: “Not in the state of Florida, we can’t clean your teeth until the periodontal disease was fixed.” She went on to say that it would take 2 extra visits and they would have to stuff my gums with antibiotics.
Now, I am near tears and so I asked to see the dentist. THEY ROLLED IN A T.V. SET AND HIT THE REMOTE. Up popped a blond woman who was in another location. She introduced herself and started looking at my X-rays. I said “What is this? I had an appointment with a live dentist!” They then casually mentioned that he didn’t come in today.
WHAT? So, the blond lady on the T.V. screen (the dentist) talked to me about my X-rays. She smiled and said I had a lot of crowns. She said pretty much that I should follow their advice regarding the periodontal disease.
I told them all, I wanted out of there. I was so upset that I headed for the front where they handed me a future bill of $1797.99. The bill showed the visits and the costs and what my insurance would cover. Now I was crying. I said, “I don’t have $1800.00!” I was shaking all over when woman number one said “Don’t you have a credit card?” “NO”, I said, “I don’t”.
I went to a different dentist and was told I absolutely don’t have perinodal disease. Got my teeth cleaned and was told I was in good shape. I only had one pocket and it was a 3. No big deal.

  • Richard Sanderson says:

Holy Crap!!!!…Natalie May, the dentist bragged about how good she was…the WORST dentist I have ever been to…I’m 72 and have seen a lot of dentists. She was patronizing, arrogant…and most of all, a very bad, unexperienced dentist.
She put an eight tooth bridge in, in March and it was misaligned and cheaply made, for over $6k. I had pain from it from day one and she would/could not fix the problems.
She believes that most patients are brainless. I told her I had a pain in my bridge when I bite down on it, so she told me to come back with food so she could see if the pain was there when I bit down on food..!!?? Pathetic

  • M Campbell says:

Having the same problem as others. Paid in full for aligners and was told by the Daytona Beach office that my insurance would not cover them. I knew they paid 50%. I filed the claim myself and the provider has been paid but they will not reimburse me. Say they have no record of the payment and I can not find anyone anywhere that can help me. Will be contacting my attorney.

  • Tammy Bowlds says:

I made a down payment for services then their dentist quit I have my paperwork for all services rendered and they owe me money back cannot get anyone to answer phone for refund

  • anna hardeman says:

I had a terrible experience with cost-dental/cascade office Atlanta Ga they charged me for an application that I did not receive on July 27th 2021. i called them several times they always responded that they would look in to they kept billing me when i called them last week the front end manager says it was my word against hers. and she would not remove the charge I find this practice to be highly unethical to get charged a billed a year later for a application you never received. do not use this company. they are deceitful.

    • dorothy huxtable says:

I am having the same problem as I speak and I need to get to the CEO of coast Dental I need to let him know what is going on charging for treatment that has not Don on patient and front desk person in the Ormond Beach office in Florida has no customer service

      • Cynthia Davis says:

This place is a total scam. I paid for a partial in July 2020. I have not received the partial or my money back. They were paid cash by me and the insurance company paid their portion. No one will return my calls. Everyone that I have spoken with tried to give me an appointment. Nobody will give you the number to cooperate office. All liars and scammers
