Cincinnati Bell was incorporated by Charles Kilgour as the City and Suburban Telegraph Association in 1873. It is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It started as a telegraph company and it was a Bell System franchisee. In the 1990s, they widened their focus and expanded into Internet access and mobile phone services. They changed the name of the company to Cincinnati and Suburban Bell Telephone Company in 1903 and by 1971; its name was changed to Cincinnati Bell in 1971. I have elderly parents who has not had a dial tone for almost a week. I was told technician would be there today between 8 and noon. Now I’m being told technician will not be there until Wednesday. When the “foreign” person I spoke to today asked the exact same questions as they did when I 1st call to report the trouble. After insisting on talking to a supervisor she said they didn’t call because they didn’t have my cell phone. Sorry that excuse does not work. I gave my cell phone # when I placed the repair call. My parents phone service needs repaired today! No more excuses will be accepted.

  • Judd Eide says:

Does Cincinnati Bell have a historian? I have come across something that the owner claims came from you and if true it would have great historical value. The year would have been 1961, the event was the inauguration of Presiden John F. Kennedy. Please help me in my research or direct me to someone who can. Thanks

  • Mr. Newman says:

Attn: Mr. Jason E. Praeter, President and General Manager,
Good morning, Sir I really would like for you to contact me at the e-mail address below so we can discuss and ongoing problem I been having with my account since the onset of doing business with your company.
I constantly get the run-around from all levels of your customer service representatives! They refuse to answer my question’s, they fail to listen to the problem(s) and respond appropriately. I have been with your company for decades. I was one of the first 100 whom signed up for ADSL – promised the rate would never go up, because I was one of the first 100. That was a blatant lye! Please contact me so we can discuss the various problems.
    Respectfully,
    Mr. Newman

  • Diane Monahan says:

This comment is a recommendation for a Cincinnati Bell/Fioptics employee. We had to disconnect our cable due to a new carpet installation. We were unable to reconnect it properly and ended up having one of your service technicians come to our house. The young man’s name was Will Ross. He was such a kind, competent person and he had our cable up and working in no time. Several days later, due to another carpet problem, we had to disconnect it once again. Will had given us his name and number in case we had any more problems – – so we called him and he tried to assist us by phone. After speaking to him, were finally able to reconnect everything – due to his expertise and patience. We were so impressed with him! Cincinnati Bell is very lucky to have such a wonderful person representing their company!

  • J C Robinson says:

The number given for the corporate office is not correct. That 565-2210 is the regular customer service number and an agent based outside the United States answers. These persons cannot help and continue to repeat that this number is for the corporate office.

  • Paula Vogel / Roger Vogel says:
