About Carhartt, History and Headquarters Information

Carhartt was incorporated by Hamilton Carhartt in 1889 in Dearborn, Michigan, with the main purpose of making work clothing for manual laborers. By the 1890s, the company widened its focus and started working to make strong and long-lasting work clothes for the railroad workers. In 2007, Women line of women’s workwear was introduced by this company.

Carhartt, Inc. is a U.S.-based company that manufactures apparel products. The company specializes in making jackets, coats, vests, hoods, shirts, pants, jeans, hats, scarves, socks, gloves, belts, bags, wallets, safety glasses, footwear, and flame resistant products.  Carhartt provides its products and services to its customers in the United States, Mexico, and Europe. They produce full-cut, wind-resistant, snag-proof, heavy-duty work jackets for construction workers, miners, farmers, hunters, and outdoorsmen. It distributes its products through large regional farm stores like Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Fleet Farm, and Tractor Supply.

Hello my name is Rick Dawson. I am the scout master in Eagle Grove Iowa with troop 1059. My troop host fall camp out 2022. We are doing dragon boat racing in October 7th 8th and 9th. my phone number is 1515 293 0505. What I’m contacting you about is we would like to give some prizes to the kids. We would like to use your white adult stocking hat. I would take care of the embroidery and sewing on the badge. With my local vendor here in Eagle Grove J and J sports. So what I’m asking is if you would donate 200 white hats to our event in October. Thank you.

  • Ken Johnson says:

I support your stance on vaccine requirements. Your position demonstrates that of a responsible company and you are to be commended.

  • Sondra says:

Just to let you know that all the things bought at Christmas time have been taken back and the multiple items in the closets are in a pile . There is a carthartt burning party this weekend. It is a real shame too because for years we ( family and friends) have supported your company and products. But no longer. Your employees ( your most important asset) should be treated with respect and should be able to make their own health decisions. You are on the never buy again list in this family.

  • Robert says:

Fire your CEO .(Mark suck as) ( no testicles)..IS HE FROM MICHIGAN??? WORKING CLASS MEN AND WOMAN ARE NOT GETTING VACCINETED!!! ITS NOT EVEN AS EFFECTIVE AS THE FLU SHOT!!! I absolutely was your biggest fan…. I’m a man of my word… If your policy stays in EFFECT ,,,, I’ll never buy or say another good word of your Michigan based company!!

  • Robert says:

  • Cindy Garrison says:

I use to have so much respect for Carhartt, but your company forcing the vaccine on employees is heartbreaking! It is NOT safe for everyone and many have natural immunity. The vaccine has proven to NOT prevent the virus. If you truly cared about your employees safety you would NOT mandate this vaccine!

  • Bob bencic says:

Cancelling all future business du to vaccaine policy

  • Bob bencic says:

Stopping all future business due to vaccaine pollicy

  • Mary L Goin says:

Your covid shot mandate should be a matter if choice since it is not a proven vaccine. The ceo of this company must be good friends with the ineffectual Mr Biden🤣🤣🤣

  • Jon s says:

Your a disgraceful company and should be ashamed for your actions. I will never buy another product from your company snd I hope people do as well.

  • Sean Niewender says:

I still have my first carrhartt jacket my departed mother gave me when I was 16yrs old, im 48 now. Its completely worn out, and I kept it as a memory of her and all the memories made while wearing it. It literally looks like I was drug down the road in it. I read your forcing your employees to take the vaccine shot against their free will, and I now no longer hold thar jacket in high regard. Please allow me to mail it back to you I’m embarrassed to wear it and ashamed to own it!

  • Mike says:

Hey carhartt if this is true about the mandatory Vax then me and several other people out here will be buying are workware somewhere else. Just remember the maintenance population is quite big so it could hurt you over something that is government bs.

  • Travis Scott says:

    YEA Carhartt,
Over 2 decades of wearing your products and a fan for life .Thanks for doing the right thing concerning vaccines in the workplace. Thank You for standing up for the safety of ALL of us ! It is brave companies like yours that stand up for it’s employees that make us strong.

    • jake says:

Taking away peoples rights is NOT the right thing. Especially when if you follow the science your natural immunity is way stronger. The vax has not stopped people from getting it or spreading it ……its has some benefits but they do not out way taking away ones freedom. I would think that an artist would support peoples right to choose?

  • Matt TeRonde says:

Hey, I applaud your continued support of the covid-19 vaccine mandate! I’ve been buying your stuff for years and will continue to, now more than ever! I respect your pro science stance!!!

  • Mary says:

I am now boycotting this company for discriminating against their unvaccinated employees.

  • Debbie Mayberry says:

Shame on you! Infringing on employee health care rights won’t be tolerated! We will never buy your products again!!!! You need to back off! That isn’t constitutional! Perhaps you should move to China. We don’t do un-American !!!! 🤬🤬🤬

  • Greg says:

Not buying any more merchandise making your employees take jab unconstitutional not spending my money with your company
