    Dear corporate, I am a former employee for this company. I wanted to voice my concerns about the new district manager for the Az locations. His name is Joshua Burt, it has come to my attention that he has only been hiring people he used to work with at Canes. Additionally, he has been covering for a woman that he hired named Danielle Bangert. She is on her cellular device constantly during her shifts and I personally have seen her go into the walk-in freezer and stay in there for elongated periods of time. She was also acting very disrespectful to the staff working on the shift with her. She made remarks where she implied that we were “babies” and that she was tired of “babysitting everyone”. On top of that she wouldn’t allow anyone to get off the line even to use the bathroom or grab supplies for the line. While Joshua was the OP at the Buckeye location I tried discussing these issues with him but instead of dealing with it he just told her that I explicitly said bad things about her. On the next shift that me and Danielle had together she confronted me about what I said to Joshua, I calmly explained to her what I said and why I said it after our conversation she went into the walk-in crying and told Joshua that I had yelled at her, which wasn’t true. After this incident I tried several times to get in touch with Joshua to tell him what had happened from my point of view and gave him the names of the other workers that heard our conversation. However, he disregarded my attempts to talk to him about the incident and ignored me. A few days went by and he didn’t put my name on the schedule (this part happened after he got promoted to district manager) I contacted our new OP (Amanda) who had no clue why I wasn’t scheduled. Then today (02/07/2024) he told me to come to work, but when I got there he had left and didn’t explain anything to the OP. I had talked with the OP and she called Josh. Over the phone, he fired me. But he didn’t run that decision by the OP and he also lied about things the OP had said. I hope that things can be done about him in order to insure a better work environment for future employees.
