    I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express our deep dissatisfaction with the level of care provided to our daughter, [Lilly Cooper], at Cadence. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw her from the school, effective immediately on June 23, 2023.

    As a healthcare lawyer who deals with cases related to childcare, it is disheartening to witness the lack of adherence to crucial protocols and standards of communication at Cadence. Our primary concern revolves around the recent incident involving a child with pink eye. The failure to inform parents and the school community about this contagious condition not only disregards the safety and well-being of the children but also violates the guidelines set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). It is imperative that all parents and staff members are promptly informed about contagious illnesses to prevent further spread and ensure a healthy environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.

    Furthermore, we have noticed a significant lack of communication between parents and teachers through the Kids Report platform. This deficiency impedes our ability as parents to stay informed about our daughter’s progress, activities, and any concerns that may arise. We strongly urge Cadence to improve the communication system to enable seamless information sharing between parents and teachers. It is crucial for teachers to be aware of and respond promptly to parents’ reports, as it fosters a collaborative environment that supports the holistic development of the child.

    Additionally, we believe that the school should take a proactive approach in providing thorough updates on our daughter’s well-being and safety. It is unsettling that we have to request pictures and comprehensive updates to reassure ourselves that she is in good hands. We firmly believe that it is the responsibility of the school to ensure open lines of communication and to regularly update parents on their child’s daily experiences, overall progress, and any notable incidents that may occur.

    Given the circumstances and our serious concerns regarding the level of care and communication at Cadence, we have decided that it is in our daughter’s best interest to withdraw her from the school effective immediately on June 23, 2023. We kindly request that you provide us with all the necessary documentation and procedures for her withdrawal as soon as possible.

    As parents, we entrusted Cadence with the responsibility of providing a safe and nurturing environment for our daughter’s education and development. Regrettably, the issues we have encountered have led us to conclude that Cadence does not meet the standards we expect and deserve for our child’s well-being.

    We sincerely hope that our feedback will prompt Cadence to critically evaluate its current practices and strive for improvement. Constructive feedback is vital in facilitating positive changes within the institution and ensuring better experiences for future students and their families.
