I am extremely disappointed with my whole experience with renting a cargo van with your company. The whole experience was noting but issues. Literally. From start to end was unacceptable. I have never dealt with a more portly ran company in my 43 years.
The employee at the front desk literally scammed me. And, he tried his hardest to scam me for as much as he possibly could too. The worst part is, he knew that I only had just enough to pay the $61.06 that I was origanal $61.06 that I was quoted. But, then when I pick up that van. But, then he tells me that there will be a $250 deposit for a cargo van, for only one day. Why would the deposit be 188.94 over the estimated price? That’s insane.
I had read the policy on your site and it said the deposit is $150. There was no reason for him to believe that the charges would be that much. I told him I would be staying in fown, and would not be going many miles at all.
Then he proceeds to tell me that I “have” to pay for additional insurance. And a bunch of add ons. So, I had to start making calls to borrow some more money to cover the extra charges that weren’t on the estimate.
So, then the quote at the time of pickup jumped up to 117.99. And he said it would be $250 that I had to pay right then. Mind you, I had 24 hours before I had to have everything I owned moved. So, I make calls and end up having to borrow 189 from my boss. Embarrassing!
So, he goes to charge my card, and it gets denied. So, I look at my account to see why it is denying the charges, and the guy tried to charge me $326. WTH So, now there is a line of people, because it’s taking so long, I have been there 2 hours now, and everyone is staring at me, and angry. I’m so embarrassed because he is yelling that my card was denied. So, I finally get outside to wait for them to bring my van around, and it’s a huge box truck.
I tell them no, I don’t need or want a huge truck, that cost way more and is too big for me to drive. So, then I have to wait another 45 minutes for them to go inside and do whatever they did, and finally go get the cargo van I reserved.
So, the quote almost doubled from $61.06 to 117.99, and they took $250 (tried to take $326) and now I have lost 3 hours of moving time, and I only have 15 minutes to make it to where I need to move my stuff from before they lock up. I’m totally embarrassed, angry, feeling robbed, stressed out because i might not make it on time, plus I now owe my boss a bunch of money that I don’t have.
So, then the next day, (1 day) I bring the van back, the same guy that checked me out at pick up, tells me that I didn’t rent a vehicle. As I have the keys in my hand, with the receipt. What a freaking joke.
I get home and looked at my bank account and I was disgusted. $215 for one day, for the smallest moving vehicle you offer??
That’s not all. That is false advertising, and a scam. So, I call customer service, and they ask for my reservation # and they tell me it was canceled and they don’t have record of me renting a vehicle. Whaaat! But I have receipts. I explain what happened, and tell them I want some of my money returned. The person rudely hangs up on me. I call back, explain it all over again, just to get hung up on again. So, I call back one more time, and finally talk to someone that tells me that I will be refunded $135. I agreed, and it would take 3-5 days.
So, now I have no money to eat, no money to give back to my boss that I promised would be paid back. Finally almost 5 days later the refund comes through, and it is only $42.42.
My question, if you have no record of me renting a van, how exactly do you have my credit card information?
I have called them 4 times now since the $42.42 refund to get the rest of what I was told would be refunded, and I get the run around. Here it is 3 weeks later, and I still haven’t heard back from them, and when I call, I get the run around and no one knows anything.
So, now since everyone wants to play stupid, like I’m boo boo the fool, I’m getting an attorney and I’m taking them to court. And I bet you someone calls me back now.
If anyone wanted to get in on a class action law suit, send me a text, and I will give you my attorneys name and number so you can get in on it too. Something must be done. These people are literally robbing people and obviously don’t plan to fix the issues since I see hundreds of complaints all over the enternet. I haven’t seen one good review yet.
This company is so unprofessional, unreliable, heartless, dishonest, unfair, untrustworthy, and obviously doesn’t care even a little bit about there customers, or about their employees scamming and robbing people, and embarrassing their customers, and trying to rob them for as much as they can possibly get.

If you want in on a class action lawsuit for your horrible experience, text me @ 702-286-2949

I have had a terrible experience with Budget Truck Rental and may possibly not rent from them again if my issue is not resolved properly. I am a senior, disabled, and on a limited budget. I reserved my truck back in July, two weeks before. On August 2nd, I get an email that my truck at the Nellis location here in Las Vegas, Nevada, would not have my truck and that I would have to go to the Rancho office by the North Las Vegas airport. I changed my reservation as they asked and the next day, August 3rd, I took a Lyft to the Rancho office at 2p and no one was there! My Lyft driver stayed with me and helped me reach customer service and we were on the phone with different agents! After being there 2 hours and trying to get some assistance, we were told that whatever monies I am out of, I would be compensated. I was fine with that. My Lyft ride was $100! The next morning, my movers showed up on Friday, August 4th. I waited for a call because I was told that someone would call me back. No call. I paid these guys anyway for their time. I called customer service back and was told that a supervisor would be calling me back in 24 to 48 hours. The customer service rep offered me $75 as compensation. I told him no, that is unacceptable. On Saturday, August 5th, I received an email from Freddie, a Level 2 manager, and he offered me $75 and was blah, blah, blah. I told him no back in the email and explained my conclusion to this mess! I want $100 for the Lyft ride, $200 for my movers, and $200 for my inconvenience. I think that is very fair. I called customer service this morning, Monday, August 7th, and went over my situation, again. Was reading all the notes pertaining to my claim. The customer service rep, again, offered the $75 and I declined and he made another note putting my demands in and told me that I have to wait 2 to 3 days for a response. In conclusion, I am not happy with the service that Budget has provided. Their customer service reps were very kind but I know that they have a protocol they need to follow; however, this put me in a huge bind and now I am short $350 for my rent! That is another thing, I had to pay rent for another month here. I hope someone from the corporate office read this because I do not want to be dismissed and treated poorly. Let’s remedy this situation so you can keep me as a customer. Thank you

Looking at the other comments I’m clearly wasting my time but your location MT. MORIAH BUDGET TRUCK in MEMPHIS, TN is horrible. My daughter rented a truck to pick up at 12PM on Sat July 22nd, she showed up right at 12 and the woman inside locked the door and said she had to go pick up her kids. My daughter had used Uber to get to the facility since she sold her car in the AM. I’ve been on the phone trying to find another company to help out while she is stranded in the parking lot. Other customers had 2PM reservations but Mt Moriah closed at 12 ! The inventory manager could not help, no one is returning calls, SHould have looked at Mt Moriah’s Google reviews before setting a reservation there, BUdget does not seem to care, will never consider using them for my business or my personal usage again

This company is completely trash. I had a rental I picked up on Wednesday December 14,2022 in Atlanta and within two hours of moving the truck from storage it shut down in the Walmart parking lot. When I called for a technician to look at it at 9:30 the tech didn’t get there till 1:30 am to then tell me I could have blown up in the truck due to it having a bad battery and alternator. I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do I had to call back the roadside customer service. I was so pissed because I went through y’all directly not a third party. I went till Thursday night at 10:30 pm before they could handle it. They refused to give me a new truck,” they said it was better to get it fixed”. It’s easy to say that when it’s not affecting them. This company is so unprofessional and rude. I hope they can get this issue fixed because I will get Legal help cause I could have died trying to move per the recording I have with senior tech that came out. They refused to compensate me knowing that they gave me a faulty truck. They want me to send them receipt of my hotel stay and they can’t reimburse for my movers I paid to unload my truck at my final destination or my flight ticket that I missed because of them. If you love your life NEVER RENT FOR THIS COMPANY. They have 0 care for others and or their time.

I am SO disgusted with the lack of customer service and professionalism I have experienced today. I will NEVER give this company a thought as long a I live. I was to pick up a truck 10am tomorrow for a move to FL. I receive a call at 3:36 today from the business where I was to pick up from that they have no truck for me.
At this point I have an entire house packed up, people coming to help load, a son flying in from FL to drive the truck for me. Asked customer service at 3:39pm as directed by the business owner because they had ignored him all week. Was told I would receive a call in 2 hrs after the inventory specialist in my area was contacted. NOTHING! So I call back 2 hrs later am told it hasn’t been 2 hrs
No it’s been 1 hr and 57 minutes
Give us 1 more hr I’m told
It has now been 7 hrs
    No call back
Had to go with another company and pay $600 more
Complete BS! I should be reimbursed for he HORRIBLE attempt at correcting your mistake! I would be embarrassed to o be called the CEO of this company, a complete disgrace!
