I just saw the story about the Hampton Va robbery. That is my store I shop. I am appalled that you have the guidelines you have put into place to protect thieves and not your employees. I have your products EVERYWHERE in my house. But I never realized you were a company that held more attention to the ones who rob you than the ones who sell your goods. If this is who you are as a company, I will not support such idiocy.

  • Karen Davis says:

This company is a fraud charged twice, then told I would get my refund 10-17 business days, on the 17th day I called to find out that the refund was not processed properly have to wait another 10-17 business days, i received a phone call from supervisor Tammy leaving me a message stating that their was only one charge, however my bank statement shows differently. I’m filing report with BB and FTC. All calls are monitored for quality assurance so let the government pull on the calls that I called in. I can’t wait to hear the response from BB and FTC. I’m tired of playing the waiting game and the lies I get told each time I call in.

  • Kristina says:

This company should be ashamed! Rarely do you get someone that speaks English or to get anyone to provide customer service is a joke! I’m hoping they go out of business! White Barn was WAY better!! The CEO of B&BW is a moron!! He doesn’t care either.

  • Michelle J says:

The customer service for this company has gone into the gutter. Outsourcing to people in other countries who don’t know what they are doing and lie to get the call over with is absolutely infuriating after being on hold 15+ minutes. Problem not solved and just wasted over an hour of my life trying to get help. I can see this company doesn’t care about their customers, current or future. People need to put their complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. If enough are posted, maybe this company will think about helping its customers.

  • Lee says:

I have shopped at Bath and Body Works since the first store opened in Michigan City, Indiana in the early 90s. It’s always been one of my favorite stores and I also enjoy online shopping as well, I’ve never had a problem until recently. I shopped at the BBW store at Lighthouse Mall in my town at the end of August and I bought a couple of candles and a new Wallflower. In all I spent $65.45 and I was very excited to share pictures with my daughter of the things I purchased. Imagine my surprise when I went over my credit card statement later on and realized that I was charged $265.45. I called the store and they told me they couldn’t help me out, couldn’t tell me where that extra 200 came from as far as merchandise or gift cards. I know from looking at the register what I was charged in the store and obviously the extra 200 was charged by fraud. The manager told me it wasn’t their problem and to take it up with my credit card company. I am older and I don’t do online banking which is why I think I was targeted. I don’t know where the receipt is because it was nearly a month before receiving my statement. Looks like they’ve got a pretty good scam going on at this store by targeting older customers and stealing from them. BBW at Lighthouse Outlets in Michigan City Indiana.

My School Dundalk Senior High is having there 45th class reunion and we would like to know if you would like to donate a give card from your store or some product either would help us out you can send either to my address and I will handle this Janet Cappelli 10500 Bird River Road, Middle River, MD 21220. Thank you for your help. I went to the store and they said i have to contact you

  • J.M. says:

I am aghast at the BBW coupons/mailer for Halloween 2023! Vampire Blood, fragrance and Midnight Spells pictured with serpents is demonic and macabre. Are the dripping red (blood), the “slithering” snakes and the “Everlasting Magic” really a marketing enticement? BBW overshot this ad by far.
I wonder if BBW will offer the blood of Jesus as a marketing campaign next spring . . . I won’t hold my breath.

  • Alicia Graham says:

My daughter works for your company part-time and your payroll system still does not recognize her and she does not receive payment for the hours she’s worked. No one has gone the extra mile to find out why this is not to ensure that she gets paid for the hours she’s put in and to ensure that she’s paid on time. I’m asking that this issue be escalated since no one seems to care that she’s not getting paid yet still puts in hours per week that are assigned to her.
    Thank you.

  • Anne says:

I submitted an online order on December 10 and did not receive a confirmation number or my order process. I have repeatedly called the company to get refunded back the money that was taken off my gift card and have spoken to several representative with no success. I have been a customer for many, many years and always went in person. This is my first time doing online because the representative in person was so rude I thought I would try online ordering. Bed Bath and Body Work has lost me as a loyal customer because I am unable to get my money back.

  • alison says:

The online customer service representative ALEXIS is not knowledgeable or professional. She incorrectly spoke about the candle exchange policy. I very politely asked her if I was able to speak to a manager to double-check. She ended the chat with me. I called several BBW stores and they all confirmed Alexis information was incorrect and that was NOT the policy. I understand people make mistakes. But, to be so rude and end the chat. I also spend a lot of money at BBW, I would hope they would be able to hire CS personnel who knows and understands the exchange policies. They should also appreciate the customers who are paying their salary. I was NOT rude at all to Alexis…nothing justifies her behavior.Do better Alexis and BBW.

  • Judi saba says:

I placed 2 orders, one on December 7th and one on December 9th. I was given the same delivery date for both. On December 14th I received my order from my 9th order. Wait where is my order from December 7th? I call and am told it is being processed and is coming from a different warehouse. I say then why doesn’t it say processing on your site.
Then I leave a bad review and am asked to direct message them. Ok I will .
I was told they are catching up on their orders from December 2nd. Um no my other order was from the 9th. I am so disappointed. Then am told they will give me a $6 voucher. Wait this is supposed to make it ok? I don’t want your voucher I want my items I ordered as a Christmas gift. Today I get an e-mail stating maybe the 22nd of December? Are you kidding me? So an order I placed is going to take almost 20 days to fill and ship.
They should have shipped it over night to make sure I got it. But god no we can’t do that. It will cost more than $6. I will NEVER Oder from you online again.
You need to do better. What am I supposed to do now???

  • Suzanne Hoover says:

Our daughter would like to write to you for a school project, and would like information and samples from ur company. Is this possible

  • Andrew Rpk says:

BBW Trailwood Village in Las Vegas really SUCKS, the new manager and supervisor are the worst, I don’t know how they even got hired worse customer service in the Las Vegas area.. I can’t stand shopping there anymore it’s no longer friendly and the main workers are not happy… It’s a joke to go into that store.. I hope these managers get fired and hire someone with a friendly personality…

  • Annette says:

Very disappointed customer. I went into bath and body today to purchase body care for buy 3 get 3 free. After purchasing 3 and thinking I was getting 3 free after looking at my receipt I did not get 3 free. It was actually brought to my attention from one of your employees you actually don’t get anything free. It’s just a “discount” customers get on each item purchased. So maybe that is what you should say rather than saying customers get “free” items. To me that is false advertisement.

  • Unhappy customer says:

Poor handling by your customer service live chat I was inconvenienced with my order . It was sent to another state then two hours later it was damaged per tracking info I found . I’m supposed to get one day delivery tomorrow we shall see if that is true . A true disappointment with your company

  • A disappointed guest says:

    To whom it my concern

I just want to express my deepest disappointment with your Gurnee Town Center in Gurnee, Illinois store. I went in there November 10,2022 to pick up my online order. My order was ready as expected, which was great. Let’s go When I asked your associate if there was a restroom that I could use, I was told “no, there is no public restroom”. I’m shocked because I’m a paying customer. I believe this experience alone will stop me from shopping your stores. I am extremely disappointed because I am a female that was actually on my way to the hospital for a renal kidney function test. An appointment because I have a Kidney issue which causes me to need to use the restroom more frequently. I had just gone before I left my house to go to your store, about 8 miles away. Due to my kidney function, I sometimes am not able to wait to use the restroom when I feel the need to go. I asked your associate if there was a public restroom near by, which he stated that he believed DSW or Starbucks have a public restroom. I’m just going to say thank goodness those locations were close by and have public restrooms, even for non-paying customers. I do believe that in this day in age, there is absolutely no reason for businesses to not allow paying customers and even non-paying customers to use their “private” restrooms.

I’m not sure if this is an employee, decision, a management, decision, or corporate decision. But your company, especially in the state of Illinois, may want to become familiar with this law: PUBLIC HEALTH
(410 ILCS 39/) Restroom Access Act. Which I’ve put a bit of info below.

Again, I’m extremely disappointed with how your location was not willing to allow me to use the restroom. I will no longer by shopping at Bath and Body Works. I know it seems trivial, but for a person with a medical condition. This is very disappointing and stressful and aggravating and in my opinion, completely uncalled for.

    Thank for your time
A very disappointing and dissatisfied customer.

I am thoroughly upset with your company. I made a purchase 5 weeks ago. The package was lost and I never received it. I have called weekly and was told a refund was sent but that was also lost. A second refund was sent andI still haven’t received it. This is ridiculous for such a large company. Someone tried to give me a 10% coupon and that wouldn’t even open up in my email. I have spoken to at least 6 representatives with no resolaution so her I am. Unacceptable…..for reference order number is 00474158428002.

  • Lilly says:

I love bath and body works.I have a dresser& bathroom lined with bath& body works products. My only negative downfall with them,is we spend so much money in their stores& the only free item we get is a 8.50 item or 13.50 item( which is a lotion or hand soap),something that you don’t want. Its like they give you the free gift& they basically choose it for you too.We should be able to get better free items& we choose what we like.We are spending alot of money with them.Be fair!!!

  • Peggy says:

I think it is not right that if you shop online you are penalized and cannot get sale pricing and use a coupon that you got in the mail for being a good customer. I have a hard time walking long distances so was trying to get sale pricing that ends today and use my coupon for 25% OFF and am not allowed to do so. If I went in store I could. That simply is not right because I am unable to shop in person!!!

  • Keith says:

I’ve been a loyal customer with this company for years I place an online order didn’t get my order every tell me I received it basically you tell me I’m a liar is LaserShip company that deals with them that does their deliveries tell me it’s not their problem talk to two employees online on the phone And they told me all the times we register as a glitch in their system I still haven’t received it I’m going on almost 2 weeks now and I was even longer because I got someone who said he sent me in several days this is ridiculous I will never use this company again

Than I have to go up for your romantic product, I congratulate to respected founder and all of your working team, thanks lot for joining me.

  • Susan Meunier says:

It is so hard to get someone in customer service to help you with a problem. I give up. It is too bad because I love the fragrances. When you write to customerservice at the corporate head quarters you get a generic reply to look up frequently asked questions. Very unhappy.

  • T. Johnson says:

I have been a bath and body works customer for years .
So much so that . I have a spare closet in my room that I keep tons of product in .
As I receive coupons often and normally stock up during good sales .
I started shopping online lately , BIG mistake…
My candles came in broken, due to the fact that it was shipped with no bubble wrap. It also arrived later than expected. I called for a replacement candle , no problem the rep. said We have it in stock will receive in 3-5 days ..
No candles shows up , I call again .. rep. Says sorry no candle available at same price. I asked for supervisor she said she was .
Refused to forward me to her supervisor. Refused to replace my candle with. Another one.
    Sooooo.
I won’t be shopping online anymore and I will limit my in store shopping ..

  • Cindy says:

I think you need to hire me as a spokesperson..I hate wearing perfume but I use your shower gel and body lotion products everyday and I get so many compliments on how good I smell. Whether it’s been 1 hr or 6 hrs later

  • Sara says:

3 reasons not to buy online from Bath&body Works.
    1- They charge for shipping.
2- Prices are less in store.
3- They have HORRIBLE customer service.

  • Sam and Debra Sparkman says:

The Bath and Body Works store in Laurinburg, NC 28352 is not answering the phone. I have called about 15 times and now it is going to the fax machine. Please ask someone in that store to answer the phone.

  • Disappointed Customer says:

I think the fact this company doesn’t make it easy to even make a complaint speaks volumes to the integrity they carry. Like the dollar tree…you just cannot reach a person to discuss an experience with a store or customer service online which explains now why the online customer service are a bunch of unhappy people with attitude problems. They know there is no way to do anything about it

  • queen says:

I went into the bath and body works here in Gainesville, Fl. at Butler Plaza. The sign says “buy 3 and get 1 free”. When the cashier rang up my order, I asked about my FREE item. The manager was busy walking around watching me at the counter. She interrupt the cashier and said “Oh you got a free discount, because the computer does it this way in case you bring it back.” She continued to say “you got your free item”. I replied, “what? You are cheapening me…you know that right”. Suddenly, she acted like someone called as she walks away. I did not get anything free….Butler plaza bath and body works. This fraudulent when you advertised one thing and do another. You should be straight up front. Not try people education.

  • KRP says:

I have used your products for over 20 years and loved them. The many different fragrancies and the feel of your product on the skin is very nice. However, I would like to ask a question. I recently received a text about a product line for the LGBTQ. Why is there not lines of your product to help support, single Mothers, Autism, Graduates, Unborn Child, etc. People have the right to choose who they marry, but why support this through your business? Why push it? I have never seen before a group that pushes on people and why they need the approval from everyone if they believe in their hearts the way they live is ok? First understand I am not condemning these people, but this life style is morally and biblically wrong. I am only one voice and my voice may not matter to your business, but as of May 27, 2022, I will no longer buy your product. You have lost 7 families that bought your product faithfully. Thank you.

  • Cara says:

I’ve been purchasing bath & body works products for quite sometime now, I do love them, however I just after searching cruelty free products noticed that your company is NOT cruelty free!! If the Body Shop & many others can be cruelty free how come you aren’t? Until your company is cruelty free I will not be buying anymore of your products !! Shame in 2022 you feel it’s OK to test on animals!!

  • Joe Candelaria says:

I am not at all surprised that your rating is 2 1/2 stars. Ordering from your site online was the worst experience I have had.
When placing an order why must I wait until the order is complete and in billing to find out that the item(s) I wanted is/are out of stock?
You have my billing address wrong even after I entered it multiple times.
You want me to create an account but you have my zip code WRONG and won’t let me change it.
    ARRRRrrrrrgh!

  • Tani DiNocco says:

Today I was in your store located in Garden City Shopping Center, Cranston, RI. I was shocked and outraged at the treatment I received. I’ve been shopping your stores for over 10 years and never encountered this kind of treatment before.

This is the Christmas season and stores are busy, so the action of the store staff was unexplainable. I stepped into line to checkout, there were 6 customers in front of me. Two registers were open. The line was moving slowly. It took about 10 minutes for the person in front of me to be called. Once that customer stepped forward, the sales associate at the 2nd register became free; however, instead of calling me forward (I was the last person in line); she turned her back and started cleaning the back counter and then proceeded to the sales floor to restock with THREE OTHER ASSOCIATES ALREADY STOCKING!!!

I felt like I had been slapped in the face!!! I tried to make eye contact with her as she started to walk to the sales floor, but she glanced at me then turned away totally ignoring me! When I asked another Associate who came forward from stocking why a Register Associate would walk away from the last person in line–she was dumbfounded and said that wasn’t right–however, she was not a cashier so couldn’t help me.

To make matters worse the customer in front of me who was called forward, had several questions, wasn’t sure what she wanted and then proceeded to continue to look for items while the Register Associate could do nothing because she was in the middle of the transaction. That 2nd Register Associate should never have walked away–that was EXTREMELY RUDE and the message to the customer is YOU ARE UNIMPORTANT!

I felt like dropping my items on the floor and walking out!!! When I finally got to the register another 5 minutes later. I addressed the issue to that Associate, she stated, “we are told to leave only one register open once the line is down to 1 customer. SO STOCKING A SHELF IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN GIVING ATTENTION TO A PAYING CUSTOMER!!! I am flabbergasted–that’s fine if there was only one person in line, but if there were 6, every customer should be checked out and when the line is ZERO, you can have one Associate manning registers. YOU NEED TO CLARIFY THAT IF THE LINE IS LONG AND THAT LAST ONE CUSTOMER HAS BEEN IN LINE FOR 10 MINUTES–YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THAT CUSTOMER!!

I WILL NEVER SHOP BATH & BODY WORKS AGAIN!!! YOU OBVIOUSLY DON’T NEED CUSTOMERS IF YOU CAN SO EASILY TREAT THEM WITH SUCH RUDENESS AND NEGLECT!!! SHAME ON BATH & BODY WORKS!!!

    Former Customer

I justed wanted to inform you that the bath and body works location that i shop at religiously in San Antonio, Texas at the South Park Mall location has changed their exchange policy. They have new managers and i believe has made up their own return/exchange policy. I tried to exchange product for product and they said they can only give me the difference back on what i paid for the products during SAS. I use to be able to do an even exchange on the body care that i wanted no questions asked! Period. I spend a lot of money at BBW to get treated this way!!! Please fix this issue asap so i can go into my favorite store and shop comfortably and do an exchange with no problems. Thank you!

His company fired him after finding out he’s been having sex with your worker at that store! And the manager new what was going on, all the workers new. So is this a thing for employees at BATH AND BODY WORKS TO DO? I’m going to let everyone know how you guys roll and don’t shop at any of your stores! I was with my husband for 17 years and my marriage has ended because of the kind of employees that you have! Something must be done!

06/14/2019 received my large order from Bath and Body works today and very disappointed. the box was opened and also torn with a gray flare missing and one of my wallflowers missing also. The Fed EX deliver person just drop it on the deck and left. This is the second time I have received an order from Bath and Body Works with the package torn and several of my bottles broken

I would like to comment on the awful customer service I received at your store in Macedonia, Ohio. When I walked into the store on two occasions this past December, I was greeted with a smile and asked if I needed any help. These people are always great.

However, the people at the checkouts leave a lot to be desired. On 12/14/18
I was checked out by Cashier No. 3030014. There was no smile, no “did you find everything ok”, no nothing. She just took my basket and started ringing me up. When she finished and I paid, again, no smile, no thank you for shopping here, no happy holidays, no nothing.

I was in the store again on 12/28/18 to take advantage of your big sale. This time I was checked out by Cashier No.1908495. Again, nothing from her. When I asked if she could put my items in two bags instead of one, she never even acknowledged that I said anything, but she did do it. When she was done and I paid, again, nothing!

What is the problem with these cashiers? Do they not like their jobs? If not, they shouldn’t be working there. What happened to good old customer service? What happened to just being a pleasant person? I worked in customer service most of my life and never treated anyone like that. If I would have, I would have lost my job.

Maybe these clerks need to be reminded how to treat people.
