About Baptist Health, History and Headquarters Information
Baptist Health Ctr is a group of 5 hospitals. They are located in Florida and Georgia. The hospitals are associated with University of Florida, Jacksonville, Nemours Children’s specialty care, etc. It was founded in 1955 as Baptist Memorial hospital. Later it joined with the Wofson Children’s memorial hospital.
The group also own the Baptist heart hospital. There are more than 3 operating rooms, rehabilitation centre, laboratories. It focuses on vascular care and heart related treatments.
The Baptist Nassau hospital was founded in 1942 in Fernandiina. It was acquired by the Baptist Health in 1994. In 1992, the group founded Baptist medical centre beaches. They provide 24 – hour emergency services in the eastern part of intercoastal waterways. In 2013, the group founded Baptist Clay medical campus. It provides 24-hour emergency services for children. In 1985, it began to raise funds through Baptist Health Foundation. In 2007, it opened the Baptist South to increase accommodation of patients.
