My name is Markay Merchant I’m currently a cosmetology student at Aveda Institute. The reason for this email is because Juneteenth is a national federal holiday to which I feel we should have off because we get the 4th of July off. Instead I’m given the option of taking it off and missing hours which pushes back my graduation date and messes with my prefect attendance. I don’t think it’s fair we get pretty much every federal holiday off, I’ve brought my concerns to Mrs.Giall to which her rebuttal was we don’t get every holiday off, we don’t even get Presidents Day off to which I said Presidents’ Day isn’t even a real holiday. When do we as African Americans get our props for our holidays, why do we have to fight tooth and nail for people to do the right thing.

I love your products I wish there were more salons where I live that used them that would be McDonough Georgia there is only one salon in McDonough that uses them and they are not very nice and they have the market here they have an employee that if she doesn’t like what you say she lets you walk out with wet hair. She was pulling my hair while washing it and made it clear to me that she hadn’t done her nails lately so that was causing that . Why didn’t she put on gloves?? Especially if she was hurting me by pulling my hair her manager of the salon according to them backed her by letting me telling me to leave and didn’t finish my comb out or blow dry that is not a good way to represent your product. THE SALON NAME IS PARLOUR IN MCDONOUGH Georgia

  • Angela Whyte says:

I have been purchasing Aveda products for decades and have recently purchased Shampure shampoo bar.
It is a great product and I hope you continue to manufacture products in bar form as this is so ecofriendly -no plastic packaging. Definitely the way of the future.

  • Patricia Stracke says:

My son sent me a $100 AVEDA gift card for Christmas. I decided to use the card online when there was a “Spin and Play”offered and got 20% off. I spent some time selecting and when it was time to check out my card wasn’t accepted because I did not see a pin number on it. I called a number that was given to me on a live chat. They stated I can’t use it online. Then they gave me AVEDA customer service and they stated I had to use the card where my son purchased it. Then I called AVEDA headquarters and they told me the same. I live in Tucson and my son purchased it in Milwaukee! SO I just came home from an AVEDA store at LaEncantada in Tucson and lo and behold the PIN number was under a metallic sticker that looks just like a part of the card! The ladies that worked there were apologetic and even gave me the 20% discount. What a bunch of rigamarole!!! Shame on you AVEDA for making this so difficult to buy your products.

I have been an Aveda customer for over 20 years. I use several of your products, however….it has come to my attention that there will be no more 16.5 oz. (large bottles) of the Toning Mist. Why is that?

  • Lori says:

I love the products; however, I wish that you would make a baby/child product line. My granddaughter was born ( she is 4 months old ) with a lot of hair that knots easily and I am now looking for a product, like a leave in conditioner for her. I am concerned about chemicals due to her very young age. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
