I recently started working at a AscensiĂ³n facility, still in training. I found out I have to have a major surgery. Because I haven’t been there long enough to accumulate days off (90 days) I was told I would have to resign from my position than after my surgery I can try to reapply for the position if it’s available!! I think this is very wrong.
I feel I have to choose between my health or my job. I’m not asking for pay or insurance.
Being a Catholic facility that is medical & suppose to care about people & their health. Basically is saying that my employer really does not care about my health or me. The policy Ascension has for its employees should really be reconsidered!!
