My elderly father purchased a Kingdown Kamaria Queen Mattress Set on March 19, 2020. I was told to return and pick it up on March 22, 2020. On March 22nd, just hours before I was told to be there for the pickup, they called to let me know that Art Van was closing it’s doors due to COVID and that I would have to wait until they reopened. I have called the Corporate Office at least once a week and left messages since then. We noticed a moving van outside of their store earlier this week and stopped by; Today is July 3, 2020. They had liquidated and the merchandise was all being moved out of the building. My father paid for the mattress set, in full, on his credit card. Art Van ripped him off!! I continue to try to contact someone with the company, but my efforts have been for nothing! The owners of this company clearly have no scruples and should be ashamed of the way that they have taken advantage of people. My father has a bad back and was depending on this mattress set! Additionally, he is on a fixed income, so this was a huge sacrifice on his part! Do not trust Art Van Furniture!

We went in to the Waterford Art Van Sleep Store on 6/23 and purchased 2 full size beds, pillows, and mattress covers for our cabin up north. They were to be shipped up to the Gaylord store on Thursday 6/27 so we could pick up on Friday 6/28, as they only deliver to our area (Onaway) on Tuesdays and we are there on weekends only. We drove 4 hours to our cabin, and thought I would call just to check as it’s an additional hour drive to make sure that they were there – and was told that they sent them back (very matter of fact too). When I asked why they would do that was told that they did not have room to store them. So now we are out beds for the weekend. She did not seem to care at all. Not happy I called the store we purchased at and spoke with Paul, which by the way is one of the best Art Van employees we have come across (most of our home is Art Van furniture). He was actually going to drive them up after he closed the store! And if you have met him, was not kidding – he is the best in customer service. Told him absolutely not, that we would figure this out. So he is having them sent to Petosky and we will pick up this Friday. The reason for this is because I really can’t believe that an Art Van store has so much that it can’t hold 2 full size mattresses (in small boxes mind you) and 2 full size boxsprings for less than 24 hours for customers that have already paid for them. Shame on the person that sent these back!! You mean to tell me they can’t find a place to hold these items in the entire store? It would have been very easy to find a store by our cabin and have them deliver but we chose to stick with your company. I can assure you I will never purchase from the Gaylord store and will consider spending my money in a smaller local store.
    Thank you.
