Aptiv, History and Headquarters Information
Aptiv was established in the year 1994 under the name the Automotive Components Group. The decided to change their name in 1995 to Delphi Automotive Systems. Their company’s name changed to Aptiv in December 2017. It was in August 2019 when Hyundai Motor and Aptiv claimed their plans of establishing a $4 billion driving joint venture, in which they announced that each of them will get 50% stake.
It was in January 2021 when the company revealed a new platform made for automated driving. It can be used on different vehicles and brands and carmakers can make the upgrade wirelessly.
It was in January 11, 2022 when Aptiv claimed that they were able to acquire Wind River Systems, a popular company that is known for development of real time operating systems.
