About All Clad, History and Headquarters Information

            All Clad is a cookware manufacturing company. The headquarters of the company is situated in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It manufactures cookware, kitchen tools, ovenware and kitchen accessories. It is a multi – national company with its stores all over the world. The major stores are located in US, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada.

            The company was founded in 1967 by John Ulam. It initially manufactured bonded metal coins. It then moved to manufacture metal goods in 1971. The firm buys its metals from US suppliers. One of its major suppliers is Pennsylvania steel manufacturing company.

            The company produces two major popular products. One has interior finishes and the other has exterior finishes. The interior finish cookware are made of Type 304 stainless steel. It also includes some of the non-stick coating. On the other hand, the exterior finishes include stainless steel finishes that are made of brushed aluminium alloy, brushed stainless steel, anodized aluminium, copper core, etc.

    My 2 quart copper clad pot has delaminated. I live in Canada, and the Canadian ALL-CLAD distributor will not answer their phone and does not respond to my emails. ALL-CLAD in the USA just refers me to their Canadian distributor. Frustrating customer service.

    This company customer service representatives know little about thier products and put little effort into finding the answers for the consumer on products that bare thier name. Tryi g to reach anyone in management is like tryiny to get an appointment with the President of the USA. They love that you spend the money on their products but seem to care little after the sale

    I have a total of 13 emails to this pitiful so called customer service, trying to get a replacement while under warranty for a $300 toaster I was gifted. After giving them all the serial numbers and ref numbers they asked for I no longer heard anything back even when I emailed them time and time again. Customer service is a joke and I will be filing a complaint with the B.B.B. as this product was far too expensive.

    I must say I am disappointed at the warranty support. I bought a 10+ piece set and was very happy about the quality and lifetime warranty. I then realized that one of the lids was not flat….it looks like a manufacturing defect. I contacted All Clad with confidence they would replace the lid…but they said “no” and to go to amazon to buy a generic lid. WHAT!!!! The cost of the lid is nothing for a company that is supposed to stand behind it’s reputation. Needless to say I am disappointed at the lack of help offered. I hope someone in the company actually cares about product quality and customer service so they can remediate this. For the record, I bought more ‘inferior’ brand names (Logistina) and 20 years later they still honored their warranty….it’s a shame that a ‘superior’ brand doesn’t see the need to do this.
    I will definitely not recommend All Clad to anyone I know…and I have such distaste that I will look to post negative reviews wherever I can. If anyone in the company is reading this, this is easy to resolve…send me a replacement lid (which I’m sure only costs you 20-30$) and you can resolve this.

    Apparently, the customer service only has one very rude person handling issues. I sent an e-mail trying to figure out on the website how to order a simple replacement for my slow cooker ceramic insert. I received a return e-mail from “Italia” droning on about “warranty” issues. I DID NOT NEED INFORMATION REGARDING “WARRANTY” ISSUES!!! All I needed to know was how to navigate the website to order an insert replacement! Following is the e-mail that I received from “Italia.” When I called the number, “Italia” advised that she needed the REF# which I had no clue what she was talking about. She also said that she had not mentioned anything about a warranty. As you can see, “warranty is mentioned three (3) times in her e-mail. Very poor customer service! I have a 7 qt. and a 5 qt. slow cooker, but I would never recommend All Clad to another person simply because of the horrible customer service that I have received.
