About Adobe
History
Adobe was started by John Warnock and Charles Geschke in 1982. They had just left Xerox PARC when they launched the company. The company was housed in John Warnock’s garage when it was launched. They started by developing the PostScript page description language. Apple licensed their PostScript software for use in some of their printers. That catapulted the success of Adobe. By 1999, the company’s revenue had grown to $1billion.
Services
Adobe offers content creation and publishing software solutions to business and individuals. Products such as Adobe Reader, Illustrator, and Photoshop are quite popular. A lot of people are using Adobe Studios to produce videos.
Facts
In 1982, Steve Jobs tried to acquire Adobe for $5 million. Warnock and Geschke refused to sell. Their investors were keen on getting into a partnership with Steve Jobs. That forced them to sell 19% of the company to him. However, Steve Jobs paid five-times the amount he was to pay based on the value of the company at the time. He also agreed to a five-year license fee for Apple to use PostScript.
You have the worst customer service. Your whole team sitting in India calls from VoIP and doesn’t even use the proper phone to call. Not even a single agent has been able to help me. I have been asking for Leadership Contact information and nobody replies. You should be ashamed of the customer service you provide to your customers. Can anybody tell me how I contact your leadership? You got my email and I would appreciate it if one of your leaders sends me an email. Thanks
you SUCK
I hate to add to this list, however I have to agree with the gentleman’s comment below. I had trouble communicating with one of your representatives, chatting online. The representative would NOT answer my question, regarding the future safety of my financial information. The Adobe Creative Suite is NOT CHEAP. I think wanting an answer regarding my payment information (possibly being in the wrong account in the future) is a fair question, don’t you? Especially during a Pandemic! I even tried to break what I needed, INTO STEPS, because I needed the “Yes” or “No” answer, to determine how I would move forward in making a new Adobe ID account or not.
After many long pauses, trying to communicate (wondering if she just… left?) everything eventually seemed to be sorted out. I apologized for any confusion and even THANKED THE REPRESENTATIVE for her patience (although the representative should’ve thanked ME, the customer)!
Later today, I get an email wanting me to confirm my new Adobe ID Name…it was my email, with “+old” added to it! Everyone has bad days. Chatting through type, not vocally, can make it difficult to fully communicate sometimes.Especially with different ethnic backgrounds. Hearing the tone and pitch of someone’s voice can communicate beyond words. I can understand, as well as apologize, if she were offended by my breaking what I had needed into steps. However my intention was NOT to insult her, but rather to communicate what I needed, because she and I were just chatting in circles! The representative’s intensions WERE to insult ME!
Now, fellow designers usually complain about the Adobe Cloud prices. It isn’t cheap! However I have always advocated for Adobe and have thought that the convience of easily keeping current with updates, along with the amazing possibilities that the programs have to offer, was WORTH IT! However, with your price tag and amazing design programs, your representative surely does NOT represent your brand! I am dumb-founded at the level of rudeness that I have experienced! With the heafty price tags that designers are FORCED to endure, I would expect a higher quality of customer service. I’ve gotten better service at Walmart!
I freelance, however my fulltime job IS AT A CALL CENTER, for healthcare appointments. I WOULD BE FIRED INSTANTLY if I did anything close to this! If you need a trainer for your representative, this 47 year OLD, “+ OLD” woman would be THRILLED to teach her how to RESPECT the customers that are THE REASON why she even has a job! Corel Draw is looking A LOT better to me right now and I am seriously considering canceling my subscription! I WANT AN APOLOGY!!!! This is unacceptable.
Your service is HORRIBLE. The operation at 408-537-6000 and 408-536-6000 told me that somebody will call back in 10 minutes and nobody did. A Trump Lie. Then when I called back, rather than answering the phone, I was transferred to the same lyin number and the receptionist REFUSED to even answer this “dogs” call.
When we call the help-line, all we get is music for more than an hour. Is there any way we can get help? We are a subscriber and we were promised help – where we LIED to? 916-712-0071.
