  • Russ Nelson says:

    Hello Day~Timer / ACCO Brands,

The first work day in January 1975 found me walking in to the office of my new boss, as I was hired to sell commercial high grade photography equipment in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

My new boss looked up and immediately reached for his Day~Timer, and ripped out the re-order page saying, “Here, order one of these for your sales work.”

And, so it has been that for the past 47 and a half years I have been a loyal annual renewing Day~Timer customer.

There my be longer individual Day~Timer customers, but probably not too many.

On December 31st, 2020, I officially “retired” at 78 years of age, closing out a 54 year career in the Iowa and Minnesota photo industry (5 years as a commercial photographer and 49 years in commercial photography photo gear sales). Up to now, I have continued to use and re-order my Day~Timer supplements.

Now, at 80 years of age, and on Social Security with a much reduced activity schedule, I do not need to depend so much on my Day~Timer, especially with money tight and the annual renewal cost rising to some $60 delivered to my senior living apartment door.

I went to Walmart and found a Blue Sky pocket weekly/monthly planner for only $10 that will handle my modest activity scheduling needs.

So, sadly, I request that you remove my email address (russnelson@comcast.net) from your automated computer ordering system.

As Bob Hope would croon at the of his TV programs … “Thanks For The Memories.”

    With warmest personal regards,

    Russ Nelson
